Their fixtures vs ours

27th Feb
Leicester vs Arsenal
Bournmouth vs City ------ I expect us and Arsenal to win these games

March 1st
Arsenal vs Everton - their game in hand - Arsenal win meaning at this point they are 5 pts ahead

March 4th

City vs Newcastle
Arsenal vs Bournmouth - easy win for Arsenal - us - we will have to really turn up or we could lose

March 11th/ March 12
Palace vs City - hard place to go where we have had problems before with intense atmosphere - draw
Fulham vs Arsenal - can only see an arsenal win

March 19th
City vs West Ham - win for us
Arsenal vs Palace - could drop points here

April 1st
City vs Liverpool - depends if Pep is still trying to play Bernardo as a left back!!!!!!
Arsenal vs Leeds. - home win

April 8th
Liverpool vs Arsenal - hopefully they drop points there
Southampton vs City = away win to us hopefully

April 15
City vs Leicester - home win
West Ham vs Arsenal - away win

April 22nd
Arsenal vs Southampton - home win
Brighton vs City - ??????? should win

26th April
City vs Arsenal - home win

29th April
Arsenal vs Chelsea - normally that would beat difficult game for them but chelsea are playing like shit!
Fulham vs City - away win

6th May
Newcastle vs Arsenal - Arsenal could drop points
City vs Leeds - home win

13th May
Arsenal vs Brighton - home win
Everton vs City - a ground we normally really dont like going to - draw

20th May
City vs Chelsea - home win
Forest vs Arsenal - away win

27th May
Brentford vs City
Arsenal vs Wolves

If it goes to the last day I dont fancy us vs Brentford at all!

Issue is with us you just dont know - city of past pep seasons Id expect to win nearly all those games - however this season there are more than a few banana skins amongst that lot (Brentford away, Newcastle at home and Everton and Palace away). Their set of fixtures on the other hand besides their game against us plus Liverpool and Palace games all look easily winable for them

I can see them winning it by a few points even if we beat them at home

Thank you for posting this - a handy timeline of the next few months.

Arsenal is the favorite if they can keep Odegaard and Partey fit. Their football is more fluid at the moment, our passing has been bad all season. With the Champions League starting from next week, I can see us prioritizing it over the premier league
They had a lorra lorra luck on their side today and we didn't

Palace? Feel like they are more likely to drop points away at Fulham, Leicester and Newcastle than they are at home to Palace. Palace have only won once this year. Arsenal will get slapped by Liverpool too. Always do at Anfield.

You’re not factoring in European games, tiredness, injuries to key players etc, everyone thought Arsenal would beat Brentford at home or Everton away, football is so unpredictable if it wasn’t I’d put a grand on 5 teams at the bookies and win but it would never happen.

Villa Everton Forest. All unbelievably stupid and avoidable results
Always been our downfall. We struggle against teams that play the 5-4-1 and play on the break because we are incapable of having the “park the bus” mindset when it’s just not going in, we are in the last 10-15 mins, AND WE ARE WINNING!!

Who is that on, and why?

We don’t have to pad our GD when we have the best in the League, but we DO have to close out 1-0 “victories” against also rans.

A defence that can’t defend the back post, stop crosses or tackle runners is fragile and lacks DEFENSIVE confidence. Happens far too often for it to be coincidental.

The 8 attackers should get about 70-75 minutes to run up the score, but if they’re not getting it done and we are winning, the internal alarm (that seems to have been nurtured in every other top manager in the world) seems to not exist in Pep.

We need a defensive coach. A coach that Pep will listen to. A coach who will insist that we stop crosses from coming in. That TEACHES our wingers full-backs that the danger on a cross is often coming in from behind them.

Lastly, can ANYONE tell me why, when an attack is not a breakaway, our full backs are not stopping crosses, our center halves are not tackling runners or cutting out crosses and our fastest player cannot get goalside of the likes of slow motion forwards like Woods to tap one in at the far post without a touch on him???

The statistics are clear as day. Our GOALS FOR is consistent with previous winning seasons, but our GOALS AGAINST is off the charts in comparison. Every defender we have is a starter for England, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland or Netherlands, yet defending is almost an afterthought.

Simply not good enough from Laporte and Walker, both of whom helped cost us the game today…at both ends!

Didn’t know that we don’t have a defensive coach within the backroom staff, you learn something new on BM everyday.
