It is almost November, and you have lost one game, and drawn one. Arsenal are title contenders this season no doubt about that. Might implode, might hit squad depth issues, might simply get beat head to head and overtaken, but on the showing at hand, anyone claiming they are not a contender based on some cliche is being a muppet.

A fair point - let’s see how we do away to Chelsea next week

Still very early days yet , from now until January is where we normally pick up a load of wins in sequence but this year we have a World Cup slap back in the middle of our normal title defining run

if we can put this kind of run together after the World Cup then no one will live with us, but that is yet to be seen

the players are looking knackered now so god knows what they will be like in January

Not to write Arsenal off, but it will be a remarkable season for them to get 80 points. They’re an injury to 1 or 2 key players from very average. The step down from their first 11 is huge.
You underestimate Arteta. Even the subs are on board with what he’s doing and slotting in seemlessly. Nelson comes on for Saka and gets a brace today albeit a crap Forest side. Nketiah is a pretty decent back up to Martinelli and Tierney is a very good defender waiting for his chance. Not superstars but they do have strength in depth. The games between us will epic in terms of tactics and possession stats.

The World Cup halfway through a season is frankly an abomination and I imagine players and teams will come back either weakened because of injuries to key players or advantaged because of that suffered by other teams. We depend much more on a few key players than City so I’m not optimistic.

Really interesting that we have two home games against Fulham and Brentford before the World Cup
Liverpool play at spurs
Arsenal play Chelsea and wolves away
Chelsea have arsenal and Newcastle
Win the next two and we should be very very well placed

The markets don’t believe in Arsenal hence you’re 9/1 for the title despite a marvellous start. If you beat Chelsea a lot of the doubters will start believing and that price will plummet, it’s an absolutely massive game
