I actually think we can lose on Weds now and still win it. They can’t.

That is exactly how I see it. I actually believe we would still have a better chance than them as after our game I think they are more likely to drop 2 points (or more) than we do in the remaining games. Win on Wednesday and it is pretty much done imo.

I'd still be confident if Arsenal won at ours next week.

A seven point gap but with two games still in hand.

The pressure on Arsenal would be truly immense and going in to three tough fixtures for them.

I'd still anticipate they would drop points again before us.

The draw at home to Southampton has afforded us a terrible night at the Etihad next week.
sorry mate, disagree there, its allowed us to draw with them, and it still being a good / ok result, but hasn't really afforded us a terrible night.

A terrible night, would very much be that .............ie a terrible night !

It would be a terrible night but not a fatal one.

Had Arsenal be coming to us next Wednesday with a seven point gap and a win against us, that would likely be fatal.

I don't see how anyone can suggest a draw or win for us puts any type of seal on things?

Both teams have difficult games to come which can render a positive result on Wednesday (for either side) pretty much all still about momentum.

I would still expect us to win the title if we lost next week.

agree every fixture following is going to be difficult. there isnt no easy game for both teams. Id love to beat them to potentially give us that ability to have 2 draws or a loss in the bank given weve got madrid coming up.

I also think if we do beat them i think theyll drop more points kind of like what happened when spurs beat them last year and arsenal went of to fail at getting top 4.

you know ,after the title race of 11/12 anything else is a breeze mentally ,looking forward rather than dreading it.

Remember that feeling just before the spurs match in the fa cup when we thought it was our year, well i have that same feeling again, what could possibly go wrong :)

I think a supposed arsenal win (washes mouth out) would have more of a psychological impact than a mathematical one. It would really shift the title race in their favour.

As would a City win, but with a much bigger mathematical impact. A draw, funnily both fucks and preserves both teams' chances.

It is without a doubt a 6 pointer, and I'm sure everyone from pep tonthe last row will treat it like that.

I'm sorry ????
Arsenal are due a bit of luck, are you serious? Fulham (h) Rags (h) Villa (a) Bournemouth (h) Liverpool (a), they've used up a whole seasons luck already !
The tactical time out cheating, 16 min extra time, last min winners etc. That’s not what I am talking about. I am more alluding to competing against a relentless machine. It’s been a fantastic couple of months for City. Very much on form, finding a new system to compensate the fullback problem. I don’t know, just when it’s going too good something normally happens in football. Not saying Arsenal deserve any luck but when you look down and broken something happens. I can envisage a match were by city get screwed ala united. Maybe luck is the wrong way to describe it.

Agree with most of that, apart from the last sentence. Not sure about "expect" would still hope

reaction is everything, and they reacted to the WHU draw with another fuck up, to be fair I never seen them to drop any points vs WHU or Soton, but if they react to these two mistakes with a win at Etihad that is huge for them mentally.

we need to be hard, aggressive, pressing them ,we scored quite a few nice goals recent weeks with just pressing the defender and forcing him to make a mistake, vs Bayern, even yesterday, there was another one in the league recently too.
Saka and Martinelli are quite dangerous, we need to somehow restrict them.
