How many points will be needed to win the league?

Same thing when we won at Blackburn (after going two goals behind) in 1995 and it looked like we'd given the rags a big boost in that title race.
The Leeds game was 1992, not 91.

We needed the points against Blackburn if I remember rightly as we were fighting relegation.

Tbh im not even sure why we are even turning up tomorrow nite apparently it matters not a jot that we have won the last 7, that we have the pls top scorer, the pls top assist maker, the current fwa poty, that we have won the last 3 pls and a treble, apparently the whole result is predicated on whether spurs fancy turning up or not

Yes that's correct - it was a bit of a double edged sword. That was the last season when the PL had 22 teams - four were relegated so that run-in was a particularly stressful time for those close to the foot of the table. The win at Blackburn pretty much guaranteed our survival and it didn't matter that we only picked up two points from our last four games.
It was a lot more unpleasant 12 months later when Alan Ball led us to relegation.

Pretty sure Curle equalised with a pen, we then went behind again before scoring twice to win 3-2
I was convinced we went two down but I just checked and you're correct. Curle equalised and Colin Henry put Blackburn 2-1 ahead.

Sky have now updated their headline, spurs want to win, they won't just roll over. Oh no!

But they ran a poll that said 55% spurs fans want to see them lose. Phew.

So we have a chance, but just have to wait for the vote results to come in through the night.

Edit. Subheadline - when does Manchester City's dominance become an issue?

I don't think we can win on GD. Even if we win 8-0 against West Ham, and someone remind me when is the last time we won a PL game 8-0, "only" 4-0 would be sufficient for Arsenal against Everton, a team playing for nothing pretty much, at this point.
Everton are probably 2 levels better (certainly on the defensive end) than the shit Scum team they struggled with on Sun. I can see a scrappy 1 goal victory for Arsenal (and a draw is not out of the question) in which case we win 4-0 or 5-1 we are done. Not easy - but it's not as far-fetched as some are suggesting

There's a small part of me that really wants a draw tomorrow.

That ferocious first half against Liverpool in the Champions League, where we attempting to come back from 3-0, was probably the nearest we've seen to Pep letting loose, and I'd love to see it again.

Final day, none of this 'trust the process', or 'a thousand million passes'.

Pep look every player in the eye moments before the match. Turns away. Stops, then looks back.

"UNLEASH HELL!"
The way we played that half was better even than Madrid in last year's semi. Scousers were absolutely blown away and it required 14 of them to stop us.
