Brentford beat Arsenal the other day, truth is most of the top teams will scrape through those games, their league position means nothing when they play top teams it’s a cup final, there are no easy games and the quality of teams has increased season on season results are more important than performances at the moment whilst we adapt to missing key players
I know what it takes mate. My point was neither City, Arsenal or Liverpool are playing well enough to make a prediction.

City and Arsenal both have key players out, Liverpool have been ok injury wise but their squad is a little light imo.

We've played Brentford, Fulham and fucking Wolves and scraped through all 3.
That's why we're Champions.
Cuz that's what Champions do. We fight to the fucking death. You obviously haven't been paying attention.
That wasn't even an ugly win. We gave them a 2-1 hammering. They barely laid a glove on us.

You're joking right, the win was thoroughly deserved.

Nothing is won before Christmas but plenty is lost

Brentford and Fulham are playing decent stuff yet we beat them.

VAR actually did its job and tbh, there really was no doubt. All this talk about the goal is just nonsense.
Beat Brentford and Fulham through luck as well lol luck that their attackers were dog shit in front of goal.

Deserved today? Not for me, absolutely dog shit. I'll take it though.

Arse win or a draw, providing we beat Saints.
Normally I'd go with that but I'd like arsenal to either lose or draw.
I know liverpool would still be top but I think we'd overtake them in a 2 horse race.
arsenal to me look more dangerous over the course of a season. I want them out of the title race as soon as possible

Stats lol look good on paper don't they? I watched the game with my own eyes we were shit.
Stop it. We were far from shit. It takes time to get a break against sides who pride themselves on limiting us. We're the biggest show in town. They're about damage limitation. They all are. Even Arsenal and Liverpool.
Pep's the fucking master of out witting even the most resolute sides. That's why we won and that's why we keep on winning.

What result do people want next Sunday at the emirates

A Liverpool win might leave Arsenal too far off the pace and therefore almost knock them out of the title race

I do think that we need to be top going to anfield though for our annual defeat
Liverpool win or draw

I keep reading this sort of comment.

In every season apart from 2019-20 and 2020-21 we have started the season very strongly, even including Pep’s first season with us.

Granted, so far this season we haven’t looked good for anymore than a few spells here and there in games. But this is nowhere near the norm for us.
You keep reading it cos it's true. Check the media and Bluemoon the past 2 seasons for instance and you will see a plethora of complaints that "we just dont have it this season". We were way behind Arsenal in 2022/23 until Feb and last year we pretty much hit rock bottom with that defeat at Villa when we were outshot 22-2. And 2018/19, we were 10 points behind the Scousers on Dec 29 (we had a game in hand; but that was no gimme and we had just lost 2 on the spin over Xmas)

Scoring last minute is luck mate, on another day VAR rob us of victory. We did nothing that deserved us the win. A keeper is paid to make saves. We got away with another one today.

We currently look absolutely nowhere near a team that's going to win the title. We've played Brentford, Fulham and fucking Wolves and scraped through all 3.

Early days and City are known to be slow starters and like I said Arsenal & Liverpool don't look good enough either. All to play for.

People have short memories though. We've scraped through games in every season we've won titles, as have other champions.

It's top level footy, you can't just turn teams over every weekend. We won out fair share of games last season by a single goal margin against the likes of Luton, Wolves, Bournemouth, Brentford etc

That was on top of us not too well against the rest of the top 4.

Who won the league?

What I'm really saying is calm down. It's way too early to be shitting your knickers.

Dead right, we've not had a fit/fresh team yet, only club unbeaten in the top 4 divisions.

With the constant football I'd (with a fit Rodders) snatched anyone's hand off to be within 3/4 points of the top at this stage of the season.

As it is Arse seem to be showing signs of going spursy, dips? We'll see but, they've had an easy lead into Slotts first season....who else? Chelsea haven't got the experience in the team, Villa will struggle with the CL games in the near future.

Teams have learned how to defend, look at how low all goal differences are, there's not many tonkings going on in the Prem at the moment.
