Pep never managed a game in EL and I doubt he wants to try the Thursday-Sunday schedule all year next season. he better get this game right tomorrow.

cant see us beating Fulham away to be fair. as I recall the home win vs them was quite lucky around October before our sick poor run started.

4 points is the magic number but I honestly think 3 will do it. Can't see chelsea villa Newcastle all winning. I don't buy into this that the rags will throw the game they seemed pretty much to be trying their best to beat Chelsea and sure they will go out to beat villa. Chelsea ain't great on the road and forest have give themselves a chance with the win at West ham. Newcastle have the easiest game on paper but I wouldn't write everton off they've been pretty good since moyes has gone back and won't play an open game and make it easy for Newcastle.

four points does it but IF we get 3 points from out last 2 games;

- Newcastle, Villa and Forest win (Chelsea lose), then we finish 5th on goal diff (barring a ridiculous swing).

- Newcastle, Villa and Chelsea win (Forest lose), then we finish 6th

- Newcastle & Villa win and Chelsea/Forest draw, then we finish 5th.

so the middle scenario is the bad one.

I think if Newcastle and/or Villa dont get 3 pts (and we have get at least 1 win), then we get top 5.

We did what was expected tonight but it doesn’t even come close to making up for the Soton debacle. We don’t deserve top 5 after that awful display even if we win all our remaining games which we won’t because everyone has cottoned on to how to beat us

1 - Lose to Fulham, and Newcastle, Villa and Chelsea all win.
2 - That's it. No other scenario that doesn't involved a massive goal difference swing
