The Tottenham Thread 12/13

Now here's a funny thing:

After 27 matches of the 2011-12 season Chelsea got rid of André Villas-Boas.

After 27 matches of the 2012-13 season, André Villas-Boas' Tottenham Hotspur overtook Chelsea into third place in the Premier League Table.

Isn't Karma a woman sometimes?

They had it coming to be honest. AVB is a good coach and in my opinion did not deserve to be treated the way he did. We will see after the 38th game has been played though!

That's funny 2 months after Chelsea sacked AVB they were champions of Europe and had an FA Cup in the bag as well making sure that AVB's first season at Spurs was in the europa league. That karma I bet Chelsea are well pissed

Sandro is a better DM than Garcia and Dembele is a better CM than Barry.

However we can say a lot clubs are 'one-man team' - Barca without Messi would struggle too. He can score 80 goals per season and can create space for guys like Alba, Adriano or Alves. The most complete football club is Bayern, to be honest.
I don't know if Sandro is better than Garcia. He's had longer to adjust and made quite a few mistakes while he was learning the trade in the PL. I say this as a huge advocate of Sandro who has openly wanted us to buy him in the past when people were calling him poor because of his mistakes.

Very true.

Theo Walcott has chalked-up a higher proportion of Arsenal's Premier League goals & assists this season than Gareth Bale has done for Spurs, yet you don't hear anyone saying that Arsenal are a one-man team, do you?

and what percentage of each were match-winning contributions?

So, was their subsequent winning of the Champion's League karma, too, or simply Western luck? :-)

Indeed. Remember when candle face was lauded and being told he should be England manager, then the mighty Spurs did their inevitable nose dive?
They have achieved fuck all yet, same as us, yet go into raptures after a couple of good results.
Chickens and hatchings need consideration, the Chavs are not dead and buried yet.

So the chap that led Chelsea to those two trophies must have a very secure job then.

Oh...

Wait a minute...

Chelsea have probably had 10 managers in the time you have had 6 but they still have won 8 more major trophies and 2 charity shields in that time. Im sure they are not losing any sleep
