The Tottenham Thread 12/13

So the spurs are now tied for the third place with Chelsea, albeit with a game in hand.

But you have to wonder how lucky they have been this year with the refreeing decisions.

Vertonghen's foot was clearly offside today.
We were denied two penalties against them (Gallas handball and zaba brought down)
Norwich had a legitimate penalty turned down in a game that ended 1-1
Reading had a penalty denied when Kyle walker handled in the area when the score was 0-0
Suarez had a legitimate penalty turned down and spurs scored from a freekick that was incorrectly awarded.

That has got to be atleast 6-9 points that they have been awarded by the officials.

Can you imagine the sheer frenzy of the media wank fest if that had been Spurs at St James yesterday? It would be an utter Talk Shite circus lasting until at least next Thursday.

CONSPIRACY I TELL YOU!!!

You could replace Spurs with any team in the league, edit the list of events a bit, and concoct a post just like this. Every side in the league both benefit from and are hurt by refereeing mistakes....

To be fair to them, they were horribly unlucky last season. Only missed out on the Champions League because of Chelsea's flukes against Barca and Munich. They're easily (at least) the fourth best team in the league, the better teams tend to get the more luck.

Amazingly enough, André Villas-Boas now has the best win percentage from League games (53%) of any Spurs manager since the club joined the Football League back in 1908...

...and we've been without half our first choice defence (Younes Kaboul & Benoit Assou-Ekotto) and our player of the year from last season Scott Parker for almost the entire season so far.

Most Spurs fans will tell you that we've only very rarely played to our full potential this season, yet here we are level on points with Chelsea in third place.

We outplayed pool, reading and norwich and the you beat us so not sure why that matters about some penalties. Last season balotelli stayed on the pitch to score the winner which was the difference between champions league and third. Same with foy screwing us over along with clatternburg. So maybe we're due a bit of luck this season. Even though I disagree with some of the ones you've nitpicked.

You say the same bullshit every 3 pages. Load of fucking nonsense every time. The media loved harry, loved him at Pompey and West Ham. The last time I read the rags and listened to talkshite they were sharpening their knives over AVB.

Rather Spurs get the CL place than Arsenal. They got truly done out of it last year, still not convinced all was kosher at that Arsenal game. And Chelsea winning the CL in the way they did.. Fucking hell. Must have been maddening.

I wouldn't, I despise spuds, not too keen on the gunners either but given the choice between them, it's arse's arse every time.

Durham absolutely detests AVB. It would almost be worth watching you get champs league just so he has to hold his hands up.
