I agree if Spurs are getting a decent run of good publicity in the media because they are playing well so be it.

I can't understand why people would be upset / begrudge any team if they got some decent publicity either irrespective of whether their own supporters felt it was warranted or not.

What is more important is what the supporters on the whole think about the team , the manager and their short and medium term prospects and the enjoyment that good performances give them etc.

I agree about losing key players and too be honest with the difficulties of the Europa League I think you have done extremely well to be where you are at present.

I don't think you have been fortunate I think you have been well managed and focussed although Arsenal are gaining steam now at the right time.

For me Bale is the FA Player of the year by some margain because of the number of games he has changed in your favour this year through his individual efforts.

The goals he has scored in terms of their individual skill required and difficulty have far outweighed those of RVP and Suarez.

He has hit a new level in his development and if he can continue in this vain will attract interest from the biggest clubs in Europe although I would suggest he has well and truly been on the radar for sometime now.

I want him at City more than any other player but I doubt we will get him and dare I say it he has better choices available to him that us anyway.

Suarez will be the popular choice but RVP will probably win it.

Both us and Manure packed it in Europa wise relatively early last season to focus on the league but Spurs have always assembled strong sides for Europa games this season.

It would be quite an achievement if you could win in Basle or somehow fashion a 3-3 result or the like.

Seedings in the Chumps are based on a number of factors but our coefficient will not be altered to any degree by Spurs coming in for Arsenal say in terms of the pot we would be placed in and the possible teams we would face bar possible one exception if our coefficient was higher than Spurs.

I might be wrong but win Europa and qualify for Chumps and you might be seeded higher than us next year anyway.

As I understand it, Spurs already have a higher UEFA co-efficient than Manchester City, regardless of whether we progress any further in this season's Europa League or if we get Champions League football for next season.

But these things tend to be terribly complex to work-out, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if this transpired to be false....

It's ridiculous really they are worse than the fifa rankings. I'm sure people could make a list of top 32 that enter the chains league and seed appropriately

Arsenal always get teams like olympiakos, twente and some Prague team and scrape through every year. Guaranteeing them 25+more pounds for doing sod all. Could you have imagined arsenal in the group of death? UEFA do them a favorite every year for finishing 3rd and 4th
Arsenal would never see the elimination stages if they got into groups with Real and Dortmund, or Munich and Napoli. Just what I think of course.

It's why I came up with a format where the first 2 pots in the Group Stage were the Champions and the lesser 2 pots for the best placed qualifiers, made it much more interesting.

They would be lucky to get a point

Leaving Dempsey on till the end was scandalous. I don't see us finishing in the top 4 now.

Good to get the draw but the injuries are taking the toll, luckily adebayor looks up for it for once.

I only got to see the game as soon as their second went in. I couldn't believe time Howards time wasting, is he normally that bad? Our goalposts will have Howards stud prints in them for 8 years

Yes he is always that bad, only the Newcastle keeper last week comes close.

I didn't think anyone could be worse than Howard but that Newcastle keeper (Elliott i think) was worse!!!

Yep I've seen krul do that before with us (if that's the one)and that horrible polish goalie kuczak who was at wba for a while. Howard takes it to a whole new level.

It was Krul's number two, Elliott who played at our place last week. He was just taking the piss in the first half, constantly taking the ball to the opposite side of the goal to the one where the ball went out. It's bad when you resort to timewasting in the first half.

The thing that pisses me off is that refs never normally do anything about it til the last few minutes. Shows how bad the bar codes keeper was that he was spoken to in the first half. Howard is a past master at it though.

I think it was a fair result today, although Spurs could really have done with the extra two points.

Bearing in mind we had three regular attacking starters missing - Defoe, Bale & Lennon - I thought goals would be hard to come by today, but Adebayor & Sigurdsson delivered the goods.

And it led to 2 minutes added time in first half and we scored in the 2nd of those.

From what I saw ( 1st half only), Everton took their foot off the pedal at 1-1, and just like Wigan, I couldn't understand why they didn't really go for the win. The draw kills Everton's faint chances, but keeps Spurs in it although I think Arsenal and Chelsea have the slightest edge.

Unlucky to lose Bale, Defoe and Lennon all at the same time. It will go to the last game, hopefully City will clinch 2nd asap.

Nobody compares to the Bolton keeper, whose name I cant spell. Took timewasting to another level.
