I would just like 2nd to be sewn up after West Ham game

As for 3rd and 4th, I'd certainly rather see Spurs and Chelsea get those spots. One reason is that I'm yet to see a Gooner posting on here, yet we have a fair few Spurs fans (and that's surprising given some of the hatred some posters on here have for Spurs), and Castiel is a good poster as well and the Chelsea fans were good on Sunday - yep, I'm that shallow.
From what I can see, Gooners absolutely hate us - probably comes from some of the shite that Wenger spouts against us.

The bookies have you favourites, you have a better and larger squad to cope. So you and arsenal should do it really. Even goal difference effectively puts you a point ahead if it came to that
You've outspent city and have a higher wage bill than united. You should be top 4 and Europa league winners quite comfortably
If only football was played on paper.
Spurs fans should know more than most that throwing cash around does not necessarily lead to success.
Not sure how that is relevant, maybe a subtle dig as usual. our net spend in the past 5 seasons is pretty low whereas it used to be high, if anything we have become tighter than a ducks arse. Stoke have spent more than spurs.

You are a sensitive soul.
Your post indicated that Chelsea should finish higher than Spurs simply because they have spent more. It doesn't always work out like that.
It is not simply a case of money=success and spend more=better than those who spend less. Spurs fans, more than most, can appreciate that as it was THFC flashing the cash around for many years but failing to win a league title, and producing a decent, but far from impressive, return of trophies in the last 50 years. You currently spend more than 80+ other professional clubs in Prem and FA, yet you have barely had an impact on the FA Cup in the last 20 years and have only qualified for the CL on one occasion. Yet somehow, many Spurs fans, and the media, are continually trying to cultivate an image of a club who overachieves and, in some instances, they look down on the successes of City and Chelsea, regarding them as worthless and 'not done the right away'.
Did they have a banner up this season when you played them? Arsenal fans can't make up who they hate the most these daysmalg said:As the poster above said, I'd like 2nd place sewn up. Need to beat Wigan tomorrow night to keep the pressure on.

That would be my first XI out of Chelsea & Spurs' squads. 6 from Chelsea and 5 from Spurs.
At the start of the season, I'd have expected both Chelsea and Arsenal to finish above Spurs. If that doesn't happen, and Spurs nick a top 4 spot, then fair play to them as far as I'm concered.
Dream on your not going to beat us.Looks like your going to be in that nice europa league again next season. And we will take that nice Gareth Bale off you in the summer.THFC6061 said:Great result for Spurs tonight, so long as we can capitalise on the two points dropped by both Arsenal & Everton.
A win against City on Sunday will put us right back on track.

Matty said:City v Spurs will be a tough encounter for both of us, however I was surprised to see that Spurs had only won 50% (8 out of 16) of their home matches. In fact they've got the same home record as City have got away from home (won 8, drawn 5, lost 3). Obviously any result is possible but I can't see us losing if I'm being honest. We tend to screw up and lose the games we shouldn't (those 3 away defeats have been against Sunderland, Southampton and Everton, the latter having somewhat of a hoodoo over us) whereas when we face the "big boys" we put in a decent performance. We've won at Old Trafford, won at The Emirates, drawn at Stamford Bridge and drawn at Anfield. I think we'll get a point, but if any of us is going to win the match I think it'll be City.
