Bale didn't dive, He was anticipating contact and kind of bottled the challenge and moved his leg away.
Give over, for fuck's sake.

Bollox most obvious dive I have ever seen, he should be banned for it

Absolute fucking nonsense. Bale is a fucking cheat and should be banned for 3 games.

Anticipated contact my arse.

He isn't a cheat.

Every player is a cheat if you think about it, How many times have we seen defenders claiming that the ball hasn't come off them and putting their arms up when the ball has clearly touched them last before going out for a corner.

If you want to give bans for diving then you should also give bans out for this.

Bale is not a cheat, I just think City fans are jealous as they can only dream about having wingers as good as Lennon and Bale.

Fight your corner by all means but you'v been warned before about wumming.

And he is very much a cheat. The simian featured fuckwit is one of the biggest divers in the game. Every bit as bad as the buck toothed racist in Liverpool.

As for being jealous of him, I doubt Mancini would want him. He tends to like players who are consistent and versatile. Bale is neither, and wouldn't be worth the money Levy would demand for a player who goes missing for most of the season.

Didn't you promise you would leave here a few weeks back? Time for you to do the decent thing, I think. By the way, regarding us being jealous of you lot;

Bale's diving pissed me off actually, first of all, the goalkeeper was so far out that if Bale had just kept going then there might have been a chance to get a goal. Second of course is it's embarrassing.

Didn't see it myself.

Bale can be a great player on his day but he goes missing a bit much for my liking.

Hopefully he stops the diving crap as it's a shame to see a decent player do this.
Beyond that he will start getting in the same breath as stevie starfish and shrek, young etc regarding cheating.

4 out of 4 though you can't argue with that, fair play spurs.

Decent performance against an average Villa side. Still, it was a result we needed as I don't see us getting much out of the Chavski game.

Just been listening to Brazil and Irani and they were both adamant that the divers need sorting. They slagged Suarez off to fuck and then when Bale was mentioned they glossed over it and said he was anticipating contact and he's an honest lad.

It stinks how the British players get away with it time and time again while the foreign players are vilified and labelled cheats.

I got to listen to that to and from the dentist. Honestly listening to them two prattle on in that fashion made me want to award the World Cup to Russia again.

Good call, Franny lee was diving so long ago that the "it's to do with the influx of foreign players 20 years ago" argument is just abit silly, Shane Long and Danny Welbeck are 2 of the best players at simulation and neither have played outside the british isles (shane played 1 game for Cork City), the majority of their career has been played in England with both playing with a significant amount of british players as part of their respective teams. The fact is whether you like it or not diving is a skill, and it is something that is coached, these players have been able to win penalties because they used that skill at the appropriate time, use at the wrong time you get nothing, or you get booked or you miss out on a goal, you lose the game, you don't start next week because the manager wants somebody who will manage their diving appropriately or not dive at all.

Suarez's diving is just not very good most of the time and so he now has a reputation which means he does n't get decisions that should go his way, so who is the victim in the long run? Himself and his team, if you stand little chance of winning a decision from diving, there is no point in diving so eventually he will curb this practice or perfect it; In which case it is up to defenders to not give opponents opportunities to get a penalty etc, and if diving can be taught then why can't a method of defending that reduces your risk to being a victim of diving.

For me, the nationality of the player has nothing to do with it, it annoys me that players either from the UK or from overseas can still get away with it. Both Suarez and Bale have rightly received a lot of flak, but they're still getting away with it.

Obviously there are cases when even looking retrospectively it's hard to determine whether a player has attempted to deceive the referee, but 98% of folks would look at the Suarez and Bale incidents and call bullshit. The other 2% worry me greatly but that's another discussion completely.

As it's so very obvious how is it not allowed to throw a three game ban at both of them? As soon as you do that you'll get players being a bit more careful and being more honest once they know they'll start losing match bonuses due to bans.

Players that do move as fast as Bale may from time to time genuinely lose their balance, but if they do they'll know to get up straight away and explain the situation to the ref otherwise they know they'll get another three game ban. Just simply increasing the communication between the player down and the ref would solve the issue pretty soon and make the ref's life so much easier which will increase the possibility of him having a quiet game letting the football do the talking for once.
