The Tottenham Thread 13/14 (continued)

Spurs could do with someone to step up and lead them as Matty said. They don't seem to have a natural leader and much of their squad is new and not really accustomed to the nature of the club. Paulinho, Dembele, Sandros, Eriksen etc are all good players but will any of them step up and represent the club through thick and thin. City now have a real identity thanks to players like Sergio/Vincent/Yaya stepping up in big games when required. It has been true of the last two seasons the spurs have literally handed Arsenal 4th place despite being in the ascendency. This season they are chasing and have to really work hard to reel Liverpool in.
sandro is that player for us. A never say die leader on the pitch and is the life and souls of a dressing room. Problem is he spends more time injured than on the pitch. We really miss him and we have no one who can step up. You would think vertonghen could do it, but his head drops when the chips are down.

I'd prefer Prandelli anyway, but if Van Gaal wants to come to the Premier League then which other club would he go to, assuming that United keep Moyes for next season?
