If that's correct, then I was mis-informed and I apologise for it.

I had it on good authority that the stage had been dismantled.

Not being anywhere near Madrid, I took these reports at face value.
That is fair enough then. :)

On a scale of 1 to 10, just how much of an idiot are you feeling right now?
Ha, just confirmed on SSN that is was NEVER taken down and is still there.

So on a scale of 1 to ****, how much of an idiot do you feel?

Dont apologise. Go back to your "Good Authority" and inform them they have made you look a T*at. Is that "Good Authority" also giving you the information that Willian will be signing and Parker went for a fee?

That's all well and good, but what have you grassed for? That's what everyone really wants to know..

I think someone finally shut him up...
I think it was MCFC_DIE_HARD/Stillsy who so eloquently said 'snitches get stitches'. lol.

I can imagine THFC6061 with a needle and thread ;)

This coming from the twit thought 'spud u like' was a gay bar!!

All I know is Spurs are now genuine title contenders. They have made some fantastic signings. Not looking good for the arsenal fans at the weekend.

Dont think utd are going to be happy finishing 4th

They wont be - they've kept the same squad that pissed the league last year and will probably win it again this season

How long before the stadium is built what will hold 60k?

The capacity will be slightly less than 60,000 to allow for better acoustics and matchday experience for the fans.

It should be fully complete for the start of the 2016-17 season, although it will have been in partial use (75% capacity) for the previous season.

Not quite the Olympic Stadium Spurs were so desperate for

We kept the same team that won the season before and didn't get near them so your logic is more flawed than your IQ
Also it may be the same team but it most definitely is not the same management

Okay, first off, I am 'another' Spurs fan, coming in peace.

I signed up specifically to clear up the posts that the fella THFC600..what ever it is has been posting, as 'information'.

He's talking out of his rear end, the information he has been posting has been posted on twitter and by known 'ITK's' for a while now.

The stage being taken down - there isn't a source he has, it was twitter or a Spurs website, I was in the thread at the time it was mentioned.

Then there is the whole thing about money - rumour had it, by more ITK, that our sugar daddy Big Joe Lewis, put £50million into the kitty for us to spend.
Rumours going around at the time, were that it didn't matter about the Bale money. Tie that in with the TV money that every club is getting this year, we've had a bit of luck and finally, our board have sactioned some moves for some decent players.

Bale - way over priced, but we are in a position were someone is willing to pay £90-100 million for him, naturally we'd take their arm off for it.

Good news for us though, is that we are trying to get in players of a better calibre than what he had (think Huddlestone, Livermore, Parker - swap them with Capoue and Paulinho...), our squad has improved somewhat, we are still a decent playmaker away, and with Soldado, he'll be limited unless we can create.

My honest take on how Spurs will do this year - I hope we can make top 4, but I'm used to us missing out. I think Arsenal will beat us on Sunday (hope not). As for City - I reckon it's between City and Chelsea this year for the title.

Sorry for hi-jacking the thread, and I really didn't want to sign up for another clubs website, but that Spurs fella was talking too much crap, he simply doesn't know what he's talking about, and he is just repeating rumours that are all over Spurs websites.

Simple really.

FYI Spurs were never interested in the least in the Olympic Stadium - but we were interested in the Olympic site.

The plan was to tear the entire athletics stadium down and have a purpose-built football stadium in its place, much like the one we're in the process of constructing now.

Again, that's not true either.

The plans of the bid, were to remove the running track and lower seating tier and have an all seater stadium close to the pitch, the removed parts of the stadium would be used to build a running stadium at another site.

Spurs were very interested in the stadium and site.

Be prepared for 17 bar charts stating otherwise.

Mainly for the excellent transportation links (ever tried getting to/from White Hart Lane on a matchday?).
