Jose had to swallow his pride and play Mata it was a no brainer. We should have been more than one up really.

I don't really think it's a failure not to score in ten minutes with a dismissal, if only football were that easy.

I think Townsend was knackered but Sandro should have featured. Not overly impressed with Chadli so far.

No real complaints over the scoreline. Everyone seemed to drop points bar Arsenal and Liverpool so it wasn't a bad weekend really.

Just need to get Soldado scoring against West Ham to get the ball rolling, have the Hammers managed 10 shots on target this season yet?
It was the combination of things which made it a bit of a failure. In the first half we didn't show up because we were set up in a really unusual way for some reason, and the lack of coherency really showed. You cut us open several times in the first half (which didn't happen after we fixed our formation) and should have taken those chances. The red just gave you a second chance to steal the winner. If it had been the reverse at SB I'd be disappointed not to win.

But it's no disaster for either of us. I forgot about Soldado as well, he didn't seem to assert himself at all. But you know the spanners will play their cup final against both of us and Arse though! Then they'll be shit against the Mancs.

That's just his agent doing all the talking really. I think Abramovich wanted to get one over on Levy due to the Arnesen and Modric saga with Willian, he will find Levy tough to deal with again if he wants Vlad. It's hard to say how good he will be.

I am wondering if Jose will even be at Chelsea in 2-3 years time!

Zing ;-)

Having had a couple of chances to see Spurs play now...you still seem to have troubles with the top 5 teams, Chelsea was run pretty close and Arsenal you were poor.

Capoue & Siggurdson your two best signings this season...Soldado doesn't look like £28m though

Yes I know Siggurdson signed last season but he wasn't very good then ;-)

Soldado was £26 but the problem we have is that no other top striker would accept 60-75k wages per week.

If you want a top striker, You usually need CL football and 100k+.

I have a feeling Adebayor will decide he wants to play football and he will earn the striker position as he suits the lone striker role perfectly.

Paulinho has done very well so far and eriksen looks a great buy. Capoue has just returned from injury so hopefully we see more of him. I don't really want to see him and sandro starting, it would be good to rotate them both.

I'm sure once Soldado starts scoring he will be okay. Adebayor has just started training with the first team, not sure if that even matters though lol

Siggy always divides supporters, he doesn't strike me as a midfielder at all, to me he should be a striker, maybe not our striker though, but he's handy for a goal. While he's scoring it keeps all the midfield on their toes.

I was a bit disappointed that we didn't take more points against arsenal and Chelsea but I'm not too fussed yet.

I feel as optimistic as I did when we had the likes of bale, vdv and modric playing for us. Knowing our luck we'll feck it up somehow!! lol

I am sorry, "Once Soldado starts scoring" ? What is stopping him? Will he suddenly wake up one day and start scoring? Creating goal scoring opportunities has been your weakness, last season and 6 goals in 6 pl games will say nothing has changed.
You have come unstuck every time you have faced decent opposition.
