Struggling to score, insipid performances and relying on cheap penalties to win games would suggest you're not really in the running for the title. Not a serious challenge at any rate.

According to Spurs Stat Man (@SpursStatMan) October 27, 2013 it's 55.88%
Mancini had a win percentage of 61.40% and it was enough to sack him.
Spurs are probably the right level for AVB. He wouldn't get a big job.

Notice how he's used points won instead of games won. Using a different method of measuring a win percentage so AVB looks better than he is.
