Why is it only the Spurs thread where the main point of conversation is money? The FA should start awarding them a trophy every year for balancing the books. Their fans seem to celebrate it as much as Arsenal celebrate coming 4th.

I never made any mention of money when talking about Tottenham's English players before mancitymick brought the subject up.

Go check for yourself.

I was talking about the thread as a whole, not just the latest topic.

Although you can hardly argue that money hasn't been the driving factor behind a huge number of your posts on this thread can you?

Money is a vital part of the game these days.

In fact, it has been ever since professional football was introduced.

Moving on, assuming Spurs make it through tonight to the Quarter Finals, these are our potential opponents and how many times we've already played them in the League Cup since 1966...

Chelsea (7 times)
Leicester City (once)
Manchester United (8 times)
Stoke City (once)
West Ham United (7 times)

Manchester City (3 times)
Newcastle United (3 times)
Southampton (twice)
Sunderland (3 times)

I'd like Spurs or United.

I wouldn't mind Spurs, with our defence a tad shaky at the moment, we need to play a team that are shite in front of goal.

Yeah but if Spurs score against you, you really are in the shit!

It beggars belief they are where they are in the league. They look woeful and utterly toothless up front. No Bale to bail them out this year.

It's quite amazing what a decent goalkeeper and a competent defence can do.

Agree because we only have players like aguero negredo dzeko joetivic silva nasri navas yaya who can score and create goals and it might not be enough !!!!

Spurs deserve credit for being on 19 points. They done it without playing that well. Got some tough away games though coming up at everton and city.
