I do have a chuckle to myself when Spurs fans get into a frenzy about how much Chelsea and City spend, and how their ‘business model’ is morally superior.
If Spurs fans think being charged very high prices, meaning that many locals are unable from going to games at WHL, is ‘moral’, then that is up to them. They must be so proud.
The focus on finance by Spurs fans is simply a reflection of the fact that they are always looking for an excuse why they are not the best team. If we were in the same financial position as Spurs, then we would be hearing excuses about foreign ownership being ‘immoral’ an unfair advantage or that we are less deserving of our status as we slower than they are at replacing our carbon footprint.
Spurs = Excuse FC.
Virtually every London club who has played in the PL has been more productive than Spurs in producing quality, young footballers. I guess they have an excuse why that is not the case. I bet they have an excuse why that is the case. They will probably blame the public transport infrastructure in the vicinity of Spurs Lodge.
Castiel said:This is only relevant because Spurs like to bring up the "spending" argument all the time, like your players are all academy products and play for free. But its not so nice when your most hated rivals have sort of pissed all over you on that account. Finances is a huge part of the modern game, but efficient use of said resources is infinitely more important. When it comes to that point, nobody can begrudge Arsenal plaudits because they've outperformed us all and ONLY they have bragging rights in that regard.
