Good point for Spuds that
Good for top 4 spot. Not good for top spot. Their safety first approach suggests given up on top spot

Why was it a good point Ducado??

It wasn't like they were playing anyone half decent like Stoke or Everton was it ??

Just put on the match thread the same as Marvin here. They have set a points target for finishing third. It was cowardice from Spurs.

To be fair to them, they shouldn't try to do too much too soon. If they had gone out to win that and it back fired, they could risk losing out on top 4 altogether. They know they're not winning the title, so during this tough run of games their plan is probably to not lose. I didn't expect it and its smart from whoever is running the show there (if it works of course).
No one will catch them.

No offence meant to Chelsea.

Good point.

No manager and too many first team players out, would have taken that at the start. Would have been heralded as a tactically genious play if Bale had finished that chance but if my aunt had bollocks etc

Engish contingent were triffic, Dawson Parker Walker did really well defensively, Dawson needed a game like this.

Bale's got to cut that shit out though.

Anyone savy on the rule regarding bans/violent conduct after the game with Suarez?

He'll most likely get away with it, which is ridiculous, any gifs floating about? From what I saw it couldn't have been accidental, utter scumbag of a player in every sense of the word.

the referee booked it therefore saw the event, no retrospective punishment can be taken.

Now someone from Spuds is giving a radio interview saying that they never lose to the better sides. WTF? We have beaten them twice, including a 1-5 thrashing ... and the rags have demolished them this season to boot and may shortly do so again. Dear God, the delusion.

Fucking hell.

Parker must have done something to piss a bunch of players off, he's had a rough few weeks haha.

It's a joke that Suarez will not be punished for that, some of these rules are just crazy.

-- Mon Feb 06, 2012 11:13 pm --

Are you talking about Talksport? If it angers you so much stop listening to it. Have we spoke about this before on this board?

watching it more and more the less deliberate it looks if I'm being fair. If Parker didn't head it away he kicks when the ball would have fell into his path.

He still pushed him and followed through nicely with a kick with another player standing inches away from him, mind.

I think Parker's proximaty to him means that if he realistically wants to challenge for the ball he'd have to attempt to head it, by my viewing Suarez's boot would have missed the ball as is travelling too fast.

Karate Kid Suarez:

it was not on purpose though I'm sure, he was looking the ball and Parker "surprised" him by heading it. Very uncareful though

Spuds don't think they can win the league, even if they don't admit it. They played for a point tonight. And they were pretty poor.

Don't think it was deliberate. For a start his first concern is for Parker (I think he thought he hit him in the nuts) and as we know Suarez is a bit of a **** so this is unusual. He was just attempting a volley.

If anyone ever deserved to ge a real good kicking on the Pitch it's the Yard Dog Parker.

Just wish it had been done by our former Fiery Welsh Dragon and not the Racist !

We were a one on one with the keeper chance away from winning it, with 4 first teamers out and no manager, the way we played the game was fine. More than fine actually.
