The 'Tranny to Ruining Football Madrid for 80m' Thread

SSN are idiots...just played a video of Ronaldo shopping in Los Angeles today (with bright sunshine) and reporters allegedly trying to get a quote from him. Don't SSN realise that Los Angeles is 8 or 9 hours behind right now and there is no chance that Ronaldo was shopping today? Planks!

Perez is an idiot plain and simple. If a club sign's one top quality player like Kaka or cristiano for 80-90 mil euros then it would be a one off move (great from a marketing point of view + sporting benefits). But to sign 2 players for a combined 160 mil euros in the same summer is just stupid.

Even with those two players, madrid won't get the result. What they really need is defenders rather than attackers and midfielders........
It's not as if he's spending Real Madrid's money, It will have been lent from the Bank of Madrid. Real Madrid will follow the same model as they have in the past, spend money they haven't got, wrack up huge debts, then get the government/banks etc to bail them out of all their debt and start the cycle again. It's ridiculous that they're allowed to do this time after time and no-one comments.

I hope you're not suggesting they would sell a carpark or something to the government for 250m and then lease it back for peanuts?

They'd never do anything like that!!!!

You know i've watched spanish la liga and madrid specifically for many years (since the early 90's) and they used to have such a classy team.

They didn't spend a fortune but still they've created a great team. Roberto carlos for example (arguebly the best left back ever) wasn't such a huge name when he went to them. If anything he was a flop in Inter and he moved to their club, found the ideal atmospher and started to give he's best performances with them.

Signing one or two stars is fine but you can't create a whole team from supperstars (it just won't work). You have to get hardworking players, players from the club's youth academy plus 2-3 supperstars thats how great teams are created.

Madrid are just not the same classy team they used to be anymore......

One more thing...I'd have a little wager that one of the reasons for the Ronaldo transfer to be completed by 30 June is because this is their financial year end. The rags need to complete the sale to make their financial figures look a lot better and keep their bankers happy.
