The truth about Silva's injury?

Blackburn beat Utd at Old Trafford and Sunderland beat City. This is not Scotland

dont understand the scotland reference , there are plenty of shocks in scotland , even the great barcelona lost to getafe (then 2nd bottom). But if we have assembled a squad of 24 internationals (minus tevez), i believe silva should be given ample time to get 100% fit , for the more demanding games ,we have Milner,Barry,Johnson,DeJong,Nasri,Hargreaves all fit and available , i am sure roberto can muster a midfield formation to beat Wigan from these players, but as you imply there are no certainties in football

Telegraph:

Meanwhile, City winger David Silva is facing a race to be fit for the Premier League top-of-the-table clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Jan 21 after returning to his native Gran Canaria for treatment on an ankle injury.

Silva flew to Las Palmas prior to City’s Carling Cup semi-final first-leg defeat against Liverpool on Wednesday to visit a local specialist, Dr Gerardo Garces, for an MRI scan on the injury sustained during Sunday’s FA Cup defeat against Manchester United.

Although results of the scan suggest that the Spain international has not suffered serious damage to his ankle, the player is expected to remain in Gran Canaria until this weekend, raising doubts over his ability to return for Monday’s league game against Wigan at the DW Stadium.

Love this Google translation of part of the article:

"... Many were photographed with the star of Manchester City, that whenever his busy schedule permits, come to the island of Gran Canaria to enjoy your family, friends and the climate so different from the daily suffering in the city of Manchester ."

Whatever Spanish phrase has been translated as "daily suffering", I'm sure this doesn't come from David, but is an example of the way the "climate" of Manchester has become legendary! :)

Not a great translation, more like "he comes to Gran Canaria when time allows during his busy schedule to enjoy friends, family and the very different climate to which he normally suffers day to day in Manchester." Forgotten what 22degreesC feels like outside. :/

I bet he refused to play last night, he won't be coming back, I'll bet AC Milan want him on loan.
