dont understand the scotland reference , there are plenty of shocks in scotland , even the great barcelona lost to getafe (then 2nd bottom). But if we have assembled a squad of 24 internationals (minus tevez), i believe silva should be given ample time to get 100% fit , for the more demanding games ,we have Milner,Barry,Johnson,DeJong,Nasri,Hargreaves all fit and available , i am sure roberto can muster a midfield formation to beat Wigan from these players, but as you imply there are no certainties in football

Although results of the scan suggest that the Spain international has not suffered serious damage to his ankle, the player is expected to remain in Gran Canaria until this weekend, raising doubts over his ability to return for Monday’s league game against Wigan at the DW Stadium.
