still think that if a pub doesn't serve food, it should be allowed to choose whether to enforce the smoking ban.

Tell that to the non-smoking staff who develop lung cancer from passive smoking.

Bullshit. Does the phenomena of passive smoking even exist? I've got my doubts. Tragic though his death was, I reckon Roy Castle was a statistical anomoly.

doesn't matter if its true or not it great that it is always added to the argument.

my self i think you err on the side of caution and fuck smoking off just in case.

In actual fact I believe that Roy Castle was due to a genetic pre-disposition (which was not related to passive smoking)

Notwithstanding that I fail to see how inhaling something that has been proven to give you cancer (albeit in attenuated form) can be anything other than harmful.

Well ok, but then fuck cars off and factory chimneys and anything else that emits fumes - We'll have no double standards here.

In a strange way i miss the hazy mist of the pub. Was for me a very normal thing when i smoked and also when i didnt. Im not saying it was right but pubs seemed right when it was hazy with smoke. Saying that i aint missed it and i dont think anyone has including the smokers. Smoking outside has also formed a new community outside clubs and pubs. Overall it is the right thing and a good thing but i will always miss that hazy mist when walking into a pub

It almost certainly is harmful - But why single out smoking when there's car fumes, Chernoble shite in the water table etc..seems like bollox to me.

Yeah but same people who were so vocal about it dont walk around Cities with face masks on! If they were that worried they would of but its always better to kick the smokers and since they done that its now kick the drivers. These people wont be happy till they live in woods again eating leaves
