"The Voice" of football

The man who read the football results on Grandstand. His voice and the Pink final remind me most of football from my childhood.
That was Len Martin on 'Grandstand' (if I recall correctly, he was an Aussie..) and John Webster on radio's 'Sports Report' (until James Alexander Gordon took over mid- to late-70s)

The best by a country mile, for me, was Kenneth Wolstenholme, although Barry Davies was excellent too.

Eeeee, 'appy days!

The best by a massive distance was Barry Davis, utter class, no bias, no playing to the masses just quality. What we have now is utter rubbish from idiots who think their opinion is of any relevance to others who are there for every reason but football reasons. I think there is now cause for giving people the option of no commentators as they now are mostly an irritation. Same with the studio guests, bar a tiny minority most are an annoyance there to just back their clubs or are there for token reasons. I now never watch pre match, half time or full time analysis as I am sick of the both biased or badly misinformed rubbish that they mostly come out with added to that I will watch it on a foreign station so as not to have to listen to these idiots utter crap which totally spoils the game.

After reading the tributes to Murray Walker after the sad passing of his death, everyone says he is "the voice" of Formula One - and correctly so that people say that.

Got me thinking........

Which commentator do you associate of being "The Voice" of football (no anti-City bias, just a football question)

Motty??
Barry Davies??
Brian Moore??
Martin Tyler??
Gerald Sindstadt??
David Coleman??
Kenneth Wolstenholme??
Clive Tyldsley??
Anyone else??

For me, Barry Davies is my favourite commentator, but........I would have to say John Motson is the voice
Hugh Johns. Today’s commentator’s it has to be Peter Drury.
