The Waiting List

This a very confusing. I believe there are going to be about 7500 new seats available next season and also some people not renewing......so how can 5862 be borderline.....am I missing something here??????.

Because we'll be losing many of our current season ticket holders from level 2 east and CB and they'll be moving elsewhere in the stadium.

But you are referring to current season ticket holders.....wherever they end up sitting in the ground is not a factor. Surely this does not affect the 7500 and non-renewed seats available next season.

Of course it will make a difference. We gain a few thousand extra seats on SS level 3. We will lose ??? seats to premium (unless people on the waiting list want to choose the premium which I doubt). So the number of seats priced reasonably probably won't increase as much as we had hoped.

Anyone know how many seats will be priced at premium?

Sorry if this has been covered already but I went on the list virtually straight away, I have a Season Card in East level one and was hoping to get the seat next to me for my wife, however with the price increases it's not now looking like I won't be able to afford it once I've renewed mine. So does anyone know the score with the £100 deposit I've paid, do I wave goodbye to it or can it be used as a credit to future cup games on my Season Card, cheers

I thought there were 7500 new seats available and not as you mention ''We gain a few thousand extra seats on SS level 3''. Totally confused but going out shopping now so we will see what happens over the next few months.

I said a few thousand as I wasn't sure of the exact numbers but it could well be 7500. But we'll be also losing a few thousand (again not sure on the numbers) normally priced seats to premium. So not as many on the waiting list will have the option of a season ticket for next season and will probably have to wait until NS level 3 is done.

Of course quite a few on the list could drop out if they aren't able to get the cheaper tickets.

Time will tell. My daughter is on the list but quite well down so extremely unlikely that she'll get one for next season.

I can't see the North Stand being done at that rate as there will thousands who give up this season too.

Bet you're wrong, on both points

The second happens every season anyway, but I'll take a friendly wager.

The people on the list that have spoken to the club have been told around 5500, are borderline for this year that would still leave 4000 on the list,I'm not sure that takes into account the 2000 that usually don't renew so maybe nearer 2000 left on the list definately a good enough base to plan the other extension of around 6000.

I think a lot assumed they'd get the cheaper tickets but as it now seems unlikely there'll be enough of those to go around, it wouldn't surprise me to see quite a number of people on the list not taking up their option to buy a season ticket.

I have a feeling the shit is going to hit the fan when the waiting list starts getting offered the tickets. I think people who have signed up in price brackets will end up being informed they have missed out and getting offered seats at substantially more than they expected. As for everyone thinking they may get a £299 seat these will be has hard to get as Derby tickets.

I think there are actually more £299 seats than expected with around 65% of the South Stand third tier at this price point.

A lot of the people moving from the sides already pay the highest price point anyway, so I doubt they'll be swapping their seats simply to get the cheapest seats in the ground. They'll be getting the £600 seats at the front of the new tier and maybe the £380 ones as well in order to retain the best possible view.

Even when £299 seats are running out, £380 is still an amazing price to watch a team of City's standard. If the £299 & £380 seats run out.....that means we've pretty much sold out!
An extra £220 to sit one row in front of the £380 seats, i think those £600 seats will be the last to go
The £380 seats will be the first to be sold without a doubt...

I don't know why you're assuming that people on the list made that assumption, when joining the list the options were made very clear and you were able to choose a preference, but everyone on the list would be aware that if they only wanted the cheapest seats they may have to wait for the other end to be done.

It is in their interest to talk up demand so people feel grateful when they get one offered at more than the £299 or £380 they signed up for.

It is fair to assume most would be on the waiting list for the cheaper tickets or why have they only suddenly decided to get one?

Never believe salespeople.

The new : extra corporates in the premise seats won't need to go on the waiting list. I can't see this being more than a thousand people though!

They have gone on the list if like me they are cityzen / blue members who didn't have nearly enough loyalty points to get a s/c when they went on open sale in previous seasons, of course some will be attracted by the £299, but with the £100 deposit paid and 10 month interest free payments I would expect quite a few to stretch to £380 / £450

I think a lot may depend on what sort of signings we bring in. 650 seems a lot for my season ticket, but if we spend £100 +million on some top players this summer the 54 quid a month interest free for 10 months might seem a good bet all of a sudden

They have been open sale most seasons. loyalty points were not needed in 2013/14 and they took five days to sell out to blue members. There could be almost 10,000 more seats next season due to this season's reduced capacity.

if the capacity is going from this season 45500 (approx) to 55000 next season, allowing for the fact a number won't renew, then why can't everyone on the waiting list have a seat, the club will have at least identical, and 99% chance, more day tickets to sell, and would have secured a good number of new season ticket holders.

If the club cannot accommodate the fans who have committed to new season tickets, with the availability being increased then it's a poor show, and shows the club are more interested in selling expensive match by match tickets.

The club asked us to quantify which price range of tickets we were interested in. I'm not sure it's a given most signed up for those at 299. I was fairly sure that even signing up relatively quickly in 2013 (I'm approx 2200 on the list) that I wouldn't be getting a cheapie. I was a season ticket holder for many years at Maine Road but circumstances meant I was having to give half of them away. I've been living off match day tickets for the last few years and forked out over 900 quid already this year includin CL and FA and LC, so think that 600 quid is still good value. Im fortunate enough to be able to afford it in a one-er. Still not sure what the club will offer as I'm not sure which seats the club will make available. I've sat mostly in 120/121 near friends so I know there's plenty of none SC seats in that area. I've actually sat in the same seat 6 times. Would like to see the facilities in the new south stand at all levels before making a final decision though. Much has been said about 7500 new seats. But that's not what's going to be available for those on the waiting list. Some are new corporate (215 and 216) and some extended away fans. Then there's the disaffected from the new premium seating in CB and ES level 2. I think that's easily 2500 accounted for of the new seats without consideration to other SC holders wanting a move for cost or other reasons. However their seats would probably be made available subsequent to the disaffected having another choice at those after the move. So I reckon an estimation that only the first 5000 on the list can be satisfied might be about right. Ive asked before but nobody seems to know the answer to the question of how many SC'so the club want to hold and how many match day tickets they want to leave for cityzen card holders. Not sure our customer service folk are the sales people to whom you refer but I agree with you about salespeople in general!

Yes i am on row 4 , which will now become row 7, and as you say an extra £220 for an equally poor view as the new rows 1-3. Going to move if paying that much more if i can.

I think there would be a lot of unhappy fans if the ground was made seasoncard only. That would kill off the chance of any new fans or fans that can only go circumstances permitting (young kids, work etc). if anything the match day prices are so high because it's nearly all seasoncards anyway with only a few thousand available match by match.
