The Waiting List

Been debating this for a while now. Weather or not to join in.? Gave up my season ticket in 2004 had it for about 6 years. Three kids and my first house seen to it. Anyway always missed it. Couple of family members and a lad I know go regular. So I'm in #9403. Not expecting anything soon but glad I'm in their thoughts So to speak. Got to be in to win. Also cancelled my sky sports package the other day. Can't stand the attitude on that can channel any longer. Ill be putting my subscription money away for this. Happy days. Ps don't tell my missus. Lol.

A few points to make. Don't assume everybody, whether they are on the waiting list or relocating, want SSL3. There are also another 11/2 blocks in SSL1 & SSL2 which will also be very popular plus the additional 2 block in the corners on L3. Not everyone on the waiting list wants the cheap seats. I was told by the club that there will only be an additional 5000 season tickets above the current number and that the waiting lists will be dealt with in batches of 500. There are nearly 10000 on the waiting list and there will be lots of demand and a lot of supporters who will have to wait a couple of seasons.

The people on the list that have spoken to the club have been told around 5500, are borderline for this year that would still leave 4000 on the list,I'm not sure that takes into account the 2000 that usually don't renew so maybe nearer 2000 left on the list definately a good enough base to plan the other extension of around 6000.

I think a lot assumed they'd get the cheaper tickets but as it now seems unlikely there'll be enough of those to go around, it wouldn't surprise me to see quite a number of people on the list not taking up their option to buy a season ticket.

I don't know why you're assuming that people on the list made that assumption, when joining the list the options were made very clear and you were able to choose a preference, but everyone on the list would be aware that if they only wanted the cheapest seats they may have to wait for the other end to be done.

Let's see what happens but I suspect many that get offered tickets on the waiting list won't take them up this season.

£100 deposit says they will,

Seeing all these posts it looks like 2015-16 will be the equivalent of musical chairs at the Etihad. As if the atmosphere could get any worse. People sat in unfamiliar surrounding could be one of the quickest ways to do it. Starting to wonder if the focus of the club and those running it is where it should be.

That's why the club and 1894 have worked together and organized the new singing blocks.

They'll refund that £100 if you decide not to bother

I queried this earlier - will we be able to get the £100 back, can't find the original T&Cs

I will be asking Danny Wilson a few questions at the next supporters meeting .

Well my lad has paid his £100 and is on the list.

I'm due to pay my £750 but can't go illness etc (the lad goes in my sted)

If we could both relocate to seats together in the new bit, I'd be £150 better off!

Times are hard and it's receiving my full attention at the moment!!

if the capacity is going from this season 45500 (approx) to 55000 next season, allowing for the fact a number won't renew, then why can't everyone on the waiting list have a seat, the club will have at least identical, and 99% chance, more day tickets to sell, and would have secured a good number of new season ticket holders.

If the club cannot accommodate the fans who have committed to new season tickets, with the availability being increased then it's a poor show, and shows the club are more interested in selling expensive match by match tickets.
I think there would be a lot of unhappy fans if the ground was made seasoncard only. That would kill off the chance of any new fans or fans that can only go circumstances permitting (young kids, work etc). if anything the match day prices are so high because it's nearly all seasoncards anyway with only a few thousand available match by match.

Don't see your argument at all, if all 9500 on the waiting list got a season ticket, even if Every present season ticket holder renewed which they won't, then the availability would still be identical to this season, and many of the 9500 on the list will be ones buying match by match this season, so demand will not be so great.

Almost certain it was a no obligation deposit.

Thais is correct. You can ask for a full refund at any time before a ST is accepted

Something I've never been particularly clear about. I signed up in the £450-599 band, and am 1454 on the waiting list. Does that automatically mean a level 3 (or level 1) seat, somewhere in the stadium, or is there any possibility of a level 2 seat, in any stand (Family or South, CB or East)? Sorry about not being too up on the permutations. Can anyone enlighten me?

Simply what's available when it's your turn too choose your seat, you may have every section to choose from, there again you may be severely restricted

Ta for that, and to Mosssideblue, too. That's clear, and seems fair.

Just put my name on the waiting list and i'm number 10072. Does anyone know how it works? Have people already started to be contacted and the list is starting to come down? Will the club update your number to show where you currently sit in the queue?

You could send a tweet to @MCFCHELP That's Supporter Services, or ring them on 0161 444 1894 (Option 1, option 3). I'd expect them to contact you in respect of 2015/16 season
