The Westminster Paedophile Dossier

I think this could open up a whole can of worms. The way that the current political parties are squirming suggests that if the truth comes out it could do very, very serious damage to the reputation of the 'government' as a body rather than currently.

By the looks of it, the Thatcher government covered up a hell of a lot, which is why the Tories are so reluctant. I imagine there's a few Labour politicians in there too, but Labour have the moral high ground (if there is such a thing in circumstances like this) because they weren't in power and didn't cover it up.

I think we can just assume that the government and politicians have conspired to hide the crimes of colleagues. Add that to the expenses scandal, you suddenly realise that the Houses of Parliament is full of absolute scumbags.

Now you realise why Yes Minister was Maggie Thatchers favourite programme...because it really was all true.

If/when all of this come out, it's likely that Labour will do worse in the long run than the Conservatives or Liberal Democrats, although we can but hope it speeds up the day all three are completely destroyed.

Not as such, I want a big broom to sweep away all the political set. Having reached nearly 50 years old I've finally realised that the big 3 are in league with large businesses and the media and will do a lot more to support one another than they would to support the population at large. I'd rather see UKIP, Green, Socialist Worker, Residents Associations, Independents or just frigging anyone get the votes.

me too

rip it up and start again

One does get a sense this is now starting to gather an irresistible momentum. Once it reaches sufficient velocity, there will be nothing, cover up or nay, that the establishment will be able to do to contain it anymore.

Once 'every man for himself' status is attained will be when things get really interesting.

I'm anticipating a couple of minor figures thrown to the wolves and nothing more.

I worked in the civil service for 15 years, working my way up from an admin officer to middle / senior management roles.

I can say with certainty that there is not a chance in hell that a 100 plus files would have been lost by accident. The recording of papers never mind files was extremely detailed and files with legal implications were prioritised.

I'd have some sympathy for your view if you didn't keep on including UKIP in that list of parties to keep, they are just as in bed with the establishment (whatever that really means), and in many ways are more out of touch with modern society than the big 3, as evinced by the steady flow of bigots exposed within their ranks, from top to bottom.
