Very sad news. Its particularly personal to me. My wife has been battling lung cancer for the last 2 years. She's doing ok and has responded to treatment really well but whenever I see a death from lung cancer in the news or hear of someone who has succumbed to this dreadful illness then I feel truly sad. It's a stark reminder to me of what my wife is battling. To see her facing up to it is truly inspirational. She doesn't let it get her down, she just gets on with life. She loves City but her illness means she can't travel to the games but she loves watching us on TV and she loves City's YouTube content. She loves Rodri and it's especially pleasing for her that her oncologist looks like him so she quite enjoys going to see him lol. I was thinking about contacting the club to ask if they could do something for her but i dont know who to contact, any suggestions would be welcome. The chemo knocks the crap out of her for 2 weeks out of 3 and waiting for scan results every 3 months is unbearable but she simply carries on and never feels sorry for herself. She's a proper hero.
Thinking of Jonnie's family and what they've been through, what they're going through now and everybody else who's been touched by this awful disease.
Let's hope we can find a cure sooner rather than later.
