Just to be very pedantic, he gets killed in Return of the Jedi when a crippled A wing fighter takes out the bridge of the Super Star Destroyer Executor!
I always laugh when he says Deploy the fleet! in Empire and have taken to using it as a backhanded compliment to the wife!
Anyway he'd been around since the sixties, appearing in the Avengers and frequently worked for Ken Russell. Sure he was in a follow up to Treasure Island in the 80s, as well as Life of Brian. Interestingly he was one of the few actors to have played Christ and Hitler!
The thing I most remember Ken from is an episode of Inspector Morse, called Second Time Around, where he played a rival cop to Morse. The guy's a louse, smokes, frames people and treats his wife like shit. It's a tribute to his acting and the script that you feel some understanding for the dark secret eating away at him......
Kenneth Colley was originally from Manchester, RIP.
