It's amazing really how we perceive bands and artists but we can get it completely wrong.

I know what you mean.

There are some people, who think the Smiths are great.

Yeah. RIP Rick Davies.

Helped to make some of my favourite music, especially the “Crime of the Century” and “Breakfast in America” albums.

Live In Paris is a great album, too.

Nicky Horne has just paid a very fitting tribute to Rick on Boom Radio.

He said that Supertramp came about after Roger Hodgson answered a small add placed by Rick, asking if any musicians were interested in forming a group.

Always thought they were a Yank band. They certainly sounded Yank! Not my scene but they were huge in the late 70’s

Brilliant film.

Redford and Newman were also excellent together in The Sting.

Another Hollywood legend gone.

Died in his sleep at home, good way to go. Great actor who did good work away from cinema.

I saw "Butch Cassidy" on my first date with the first girl I fell in love with. When they jumped off the cliff into the river Redford told Newman "I can't swim", and back came the reply "are you crazy? the fall will kill you." We both laughed at that and missed most of the rest of the film making out in the back row.

R.I.P. now.

RIP Robert Redford. I can't think of a single film he was in that wasn't brilliant. Three Days of the Condor is my favourite.
