The "which famous person died today" thread

Her husband has a class of nuclear powered aircraft carriers (US Navy) named after him.
I'm sure there are only 1 or 2 ex presidents that have been given that particular honour .
My last post was a feeble attempt to replicate my response to your "Keith Moon" post in the rags thread.

I know exactly to whom you’re referring: Gerald Ford.

I’m very sorry to hear of the passing of former President, Jimmy Carter.

We met him and Rosalynn on two occasions, and they were lovely people.
R.I. P. President Carter. Maybe not the greatest president but a good and decent man. It's a good thing his funeral will be attended respectfully by the current C-in-C and not the incoming one whose qualities either as a president or a man leave much to be desired.

Chalk and cheese
Or should I say peanuts and oranges

RIP Mr Carter
I thought you were an extremely decent man

In Death President Carter might finally get the historical plaudits that Reagan stole from him.

A true man of service until his last breath. He could have rested on his Laurels but decided he could use his influence to give people better lives through his tireless work. How many other presidents would be happy being filmed building a shitter? A modest man.

RIP
