The "which famous person died today" thread

I really liked the series he did for BBC in the early 80's. Featured Gabrielle Drake as his partner. Suddenly he seemed to disappear after a couple of series. Sad news.
 
Cardinal George Pell
Not a good man but very representative of the catholic church.

 
Remember his show well. I always thought he was Canadian!
 
We missed David ( Dai ) Duckham . Well before England won a world cup so not surprised his passing not been mentioned. 1971 British Lion played 3 tests, the only non Welsh player in the back line in 3 out of 4 tests v New Zealand.
The Welsh loved him after the 73 Barrbars game in Wales.
After that tour when Wales played England Gareth Edwards in the tunnel went up to Duckham and handed him the match ball before taking it back and stating " you wont see that again today " Duckham was a true gent and a Coventry legend.
Sorry Irelands Mike Gibson played all 4 tests ( so Leighton is kept happy )
