I'm not defending him but he was a product of religion. The church then, (and still ? ) did not accept homosexuality. Aids in the 80's was seen by many as 'tough they shouldn't be bumming each other'.He said AIDS victims were "swirling in a human cesspit of their own making". Vile man.
Yeah, SO last millennium. WE've entered a new moral age.I'm not defending him but he was a product of religion. The church then, (and still ? ) did not accept homosexuality. Aids in the 80's was seen by many as 'tough they shouldn't be bumming each other'.
Fortunately we have become more open and accepting, perhaps as we move away from religion.
And our society is better for it. Remove religion and it is amazing to see people as human beings.Yeah, SO last millennium. WE've entered a new moral age.
That's one positive about modern times. There are many positives, but we only seem to pay attention to the negatives. I live on a very multicultural street. All races and nationalities. There's just no issue. Everybody is happy living alongside each other. Society, in general, has come a long way. Of course, there are still too many cnuts here and there. And our society is better for it. Remove religion and it is amazing to see people as human beings.

He was a loathsome ****, it’s times like these that I wish I believed in hell. They would be fixing his room right now. Come this way sir, it’s payback time, endless, never ending, eternal torture. You’ll love it.I seem to recall that the Stone Roses wanted to call their debut album Bring Me the Head Of James Anderton on a Plate.
Friendly with Dave from Only FoolsPete?
Pete?
He is with Phil now, he will be writing the theme tune, singing the theme tune, forever in perfect pitch.
RIP Peter
I mean who of a certain vintage, even as kids, didn’t love Minder and The Sweeny?
And if you didn’t, you can fuck right off. :)
