The "which famous person died today" thread

John Prescott- 86. A real Labour man.

From 2 jags to 2 jabs.

Rip.

Remember when he stuck one on some heckler who had the temerity to lob an egg at him in a protest meeting. He was a keen amateur boxer in his youth. The egg marketing board used the image in their publicity campaign - Go to work on an egg. Then there was that affair with his secretary. - as parodied in a TV film - What japes - the world of politics has never quite recovered.

I watched Griffiths win the world title in 1979. The final finished at some ungodly hour, about 2 a.m., iirc. The Llanelli postman was a fine player.
RIP Terry Griffiths.
Great memory there. I remember him drinking Cocoa late one night.
I lived near Terry. He never let his success go to his head. I played cricket with him once. He didn’t worry about the possible hand injury commonplace in Cricket. Naughty boy having a fag in the changing room though !!
RIP Terry and thanks for the memories.

Duncan Norvell only 66,Chase me Chase me was his catchphrase RIP
To be honest I thought he was older. Apparently, suffered a stroke in 2012 so I guess that contributed to his passing. He wasn't on tv much and his camp style wouldn't go down well today. Infectious personality, that's a shame to hear. Hopefully being chased in a better place now. RIP sir
