The worst, tedious, dull, flat, lifeless, boring

It was far from a classic, that's for sure.

The problem is that we really lack a positive centre mid, a player who distributes the ball well and is capable of carrying the ball and initiating attacks if need be.

It certainly isn't difficult to see why Mancini has been keen to add some quality into our midfield.

Bobby Manc seems to want to sign more defensive midfielders. De Jong, Barry, Kompany, Viera,Ibrahim how many more do we need for one position?

Note the word positive. Without Ireland in the side or simply not in the best of form we simply have no player of that ilk.

Nice try anyway smart arse.

Smart arse? I'm jsut putting out our best attacking midfield with the players we have...

Was it better than the Pearce days?

Never before had I witnessed such turgid football as that!!

Oh, and Frank Clark's days too!

it was a bit like the game the weekend after hamburg (think it was west brom or hull), we were all just sat chilling out in the sun, too knackered to sing or shout after the excitement of the Thursday night. I think it's Ok to take 5 every now and then, and just sit back and enjoy the match..save the vocals for when it's really needed!

Let's just accept it for what it was. That was our 'hangover' game after Wednesday. The team must have been feeling low and despite what anyone wants to say about the money they earn, they were hurting after Wednesday and it was always going to show itself today in a less than exciting performance. I felt it hard today to raise any enthusiasm and all I had to do was sit there. Can't imagine how I would have felt if I had to put a shift in for 90 minutes.

So let's just let it go. Take the 3 well earned points and feel quite happy with the way the top 6 looks at the moment. Going into February I would happily have taken our current position at the start of the season - but I was happy when the final whistle went!
