Theo Walcott? ..

I'm going to say what we are all thinking..

Walcott.

ffs.

Its not that he's a bad player.I think he's okay. But seriously I am sick to death of this.

I DO NOT SUPPORT ARSENAL.

Can we stop signing their players, trying to sign their players and being linked with their players.

Clichy was good business and I could see the logic in the Nasri and Kolo deals, but Adebayor was bought for the sake of it, and I was disgusted when we were linked with RVP...Fabregas...I heard Vermalen was a target this summer too ffs.

I repeat,I do not support Arsenal. There's a reason they are in decline.Sign players from other damn teams.or is that too hard for Marwood?

I'm sure there are plenty of people thinking the same.

Re: I'm going to say what we are all thinking..

Where have you heard this? I will only believe any rumour that is started by a North East student on Twitter.

They're in decline because their players don't stay, not because their players are bad. Now, I have no idea where these rumours have come from, or how substantiated they are, but I'd be happy with Walcott. This is still the same guy who scored that hat-trick against Croatia, one of the single most impressive individual performances I've ever seen. The fact he plays for Arsenal is irrelevant, and I assume the club sees that view as unprofessional. Are we meant to empathise with them, and stop taking their players because we feel sorry?

FFs short of tranie is there a winger anyone wants its like a fucking kids playground we've not even bought anyone no matter if they've played crap for us cos that's never happened, shacked head in bewilderment

The question many fans have to ask themselves is who would they want coming in at the 65' minute....

Sinclair, Walcott or Johnson...

"I can only speak from experience but he was one of the most dangerous players I have ever played against. Barcelona players are not scared easily but I can tell you that when we played Arsenal last season he truly worried us. When we were playing Arsenal at the Emirates we were so in control of the game at 2-0, with all respect Arsenal were not even in the game. Then Theo came on and changed the game. He pretty much single-handedly salvaged a draw that night."

In my humble opinion, we have two world class finishes in Aguero and Tevez, we don't need a winger who can finish... we need one (or two) who can do their job... beat defenders, or at least out pace them, and get a cross in.

Admittedly, we play so high up, there's little room for a winger to outpace anybody, but that can change if we sit a little deeper, and play a counter attack game when it suits us (which is how some teams have opted to play against us).

We went for one winger (Hazard) but got embroiled in a bidding war and pulled out (as did United, so we're hardly alone in this). Ho hum - you can't win 'em all.
Now we're faced with lesser options, and a lesser price too... possibly options that we'll consider at the right price, but walk away from otherwise - because they aren't 100% critical for us.

Sinclair is clearly a possible... we've had a chat, we're in the ballpark price wise, and Swansea are playing a ransom game... in which case, we might walk away.
Walcott might be another we enquire about... if it's a decent price that we consider 'worth a punt' then we'll have him (if he'll come) otherwise we walk away from that too.
There's no shame in walking away from deals that cease to be attractive due to price / terms.

And yes, we might need a CF... so we'll look at an improvement to Savic (for a medium cost), or we'll sit and wait until there's a real prospect of an A-Grade CF becoming available. Again... we'll walk away from unattractive deals, and wait until a better deal is possible... but that might not be in this window... might be January, or even next summer.

You can't 'make' the perfect player just appear on the market... What's right for Chelsea (Hazard at a very high price) might not be right for us...
