We should definitely be going for this guy. To accommodate him I could see the following happening. Garcia and Nasri being sold. Barry staying and when Thiago plays Yaya being played further forward. Then in an ideal world next year Barry leaves and Vidal comes in as his replacement. With Yaya isco Navas and silva we will not miss Nasri.

Fernandinho is going to be over loaded, and as far as I know he is not an out and out defensive midfielder?

I'd love to see them at City, but just can't see us buying both Isco and Thiago. Isco seems favourite by a country mile.

If we sign both Isco and Thiago and get a slightly cheaper alternative to Cavani then it would be a very good transfer window.

I said on here before and imo it's not being greedy, but if you are able to buy both Isco and Thiago for a combined fee of less than 50 million, it's a nonbrainer. Especially with Pellegrini our manager.
Lescott and Garcia can go if we can get these two in. Serious.

And people want us to pay 55 million for Cavani???

Sign an attacking midfielder and a centre midfielder allows us to get rid of an English CB? How have you worked that one out?

At fault. That's me. Not Lescott, but Barry. Obviously.

If we were to sign both, one of them would barely play. More than likely Thiago.

To be honest I would be surprised if we arnt in for him, any club that could afford an 18 million investment for the future will be in for him, would love us to sign him and Isco, we could sign him and loan him out to get used to the league. I rate him but not sure if he would be first choice here with Rodwell, Yaya, Fernandinho, Barry, Garcia, Milner, Silva, Nasri, Navas and possibly Isco. Plus we have Suarez, Lopes, Ibrahim and Razak coming through I know Thiago is as good as most of them with the potential to improve and I know that the all play different roles in the midfield but we will only be able to play 4 or 5 of that list if Thiago leaves barca I think it will be to be first choice somewhere.
