The thing that annoys me is the low buy out clause, if he hasn't gone by 31st July and his clause goes to 90m Euros how many then will be saying lets get him.

Yeah but come on, 90m euros in Messi and Ronaldo territory.

Even if his fee was similar to Isco's - around 35m euros - I would still sign him.

imo he is better than fernandinho and would of prob been a better buy and wouldnt of cost as much but why couldnt we have both?

We could have both if Thiago was allowed to just sign for City without competition. But he won't be taking a shirt off fernandinho or Yaya, he'll be competing with (hopefully) Isco, Silva, Aguero etc & imo won't get a regular game once the comparisons are made.

He is the sort of player you have to build the team around, but he's not good enough to merit that.

People always think players we don't have are better than ones we do.

Plus, I don't think you have watched much of Fernandinho if you think Thiago is better. He would have looked like Superman's faster brother in the middle of that kid's game today.
thiago could play a long side yaya and fernandinho, i just think if i could of had one, i would of got thiago, a lot cheaper, younger and got potential to be world class

Fernandinho is a completely different entity altogether than Thiago & he is a man, who was possibly the best player in his league, not a kid.

I recon he will be our best signing for next season.

Fernandinho is easily better than Thiago at the moment in virtually every department. Especially for what we lack in the centre of our midfield.

People will realize this once the season starts and Thiago is no longer flavour of the month.

If Fernandinho can pick the ball up anywhere on the pitch, even under pressure and nearly always make a successful pass or dribble around the opposition, then I'll be very impressed with him. I have only seen a little bit of Fernandinho and didn't see much of Shaktar in the last 2-3 seasons at all. I just hope he lives up to the hype on here. Personally I think Thiago is a great player who will only improve.

Can someone explain why he will still be at Barca in August if his buyout clause is 18 mil ?

Thats what I mean no one would pay 90m euros to buy him, but 18m it is a fucking steal and if nothing else we should at least throw our hat in the ring and let the player decide where his future lies.

He can, or at least he can as well as Thiago who often gets caught in his own half.

He is also two yards faster, much stronger, better running at players & decent in the air. Not sure if he's as good on free kicks.

Fernandinho's dribbling is exceptional for a midfielder - most successful dribbles (31) in the CL last season and Shakhtar went out in the last 16!

Well we will do, if Pellegrini wants him, won't we ?

However, if Pellegrini thinks, as I do, that he won't get in our team once the reality of the Premier League kicks in, it would be unfair to sign him.
