not good if they get Thiago.

We can't stop them getting every good player. In two years or less there will be another Thiago like Sergi Samper or Oliver Torres. United are always going to buy quality, we just need to match them. And the big difference maker has been Fergie - for the first time in the lifetime of many City fans, we arguably now have the better team-building manager.

Accepted, so what went wrong when mata and Javi Martinez were stars of the last under 21 comp. For me this is just the same. We have a habit of missing out and in this instance the guy is going cheap and is pure class. And I'm not having this fernandinho or yaya line as an excuse. What happens when they get injured etc.

Then we have Rodwell and Barry may stay. It looks like we don't intend to use a classic deep-lying playmaker (or if we do, maybe in moderation and Thiago wants weekly starts, so maybe we will grab Pizarro on a free or something) and will instead look to get the ball to our attacking midfielders quickly because god knows we will have plenty of them. With Fernandinho we have someone who can pass very well (not the 30 yard Hollywood passes but quick, accurate passes) and who will be able to help connect play faster than we are used to seeing.

He's very good but he was Spain's third most impressive player for me. If we were taking two from that side, they would be Isco and Illarramendi, for me.

Like the van Persie signing there was nothing more we could of done.

This.

I would love to see Thiago in a City shirt but at the end of the day Thiago will be playing week in week out at United, he won't be guaranteed that here.

Probably doesn't mean much either but thought I'd share

Right If he was happy not playing every week he would probably stay at Barcelona.

Moyes will coach his ability out if him anyway. In the meantime, it will be ace watching him trying to play tika taka with Cleverley and Carrick.

He's a good player and could go on to be a great player, but he was tipped for similar levels of super stardom after the last Euro u21 when he scored from the halfway line. He wouldn't be the first prodigy Barcelona sold after not breaking into the team despite standing out at Youth tournaments. He could be the next Iniesta, but he could also have a similar trajectory to Dos Santos or Bojan. As could Isco for that matter.

Yes just like everyone said about mata and Martinez. I respect everyone's views on this but for me at the price he's available it's worth the gamble especially as Barry isn't getting any younger, Garcia isn't good enough, yaya gets overused and as a result we see a loss in form. Also Rodwell is known to be injury prone and Milner doesn't play in the middle. So in this case I do see room for him. He would probably play at least half our games.

I also love the way everyone is writing Moyes off before he has even managed a game. He could be better than baconface for all we know. United weren't impressive last year and they had a damn good squad. Who is to say Moyes won't come in and improve them? I hope to fuck he doesn't, but you never know. Before he signed up with the rags I had the opinion that he is a very good young manager, who is able to get his players to play to the maximum of their ability. My view hasn't changed, although I hope he crashes and burns and proves me wrong!
