#Thiago and #United close enough for wages to be agreed

Dry your tears though, as he says Isco is ours.

Lots of negativity here... Get in the Isco thread an stop worrying a little over something... Manchester City hope to complete a £21million deal for Malaga midfielder Isco in the next 48 hours.
There were fears Real Madrid could hijack the transfer, and City were said to have grown increasingly concerned that the player seemed undecided.
But the 21-year-old looks to have chosen Manchester and indicated on Thursday that a deal could be tied up over the weekend.

Highly rated: Isco is one of European football's most promising talents
‘I prefer not to comment about my future but the matter could be closed this Sunday,’ Isco said.
The chance to work with new City boss Manuel Pellegrini, his coach at Malaga for the last two years, was a deciding factor in Isco’s decision.
So too was his belief that he would have a greater chance of first-team football at City rather than Madrid, where Mesut Ozil, Luka Modric, Kaka and Angel Di Maria would be competition.

Competition for places: Kaka and Luka Modric are among those already competing to start in Real's midfield
Malaga gave permission for him to speak to City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain, who persuaded Isco to move the Premier League.
The deal would follow the signings of Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fernandinho and Sevilla winger Jesus Navas.

Admittedly I don't watch a lot of Spanish football. I think it's quite telling how outraged Barcelona fans seem to be about losing him though. They clearly think he's the successor to Xavi and Iniesta. Could be a major coup for them if the £15m release clause is correct as well.

2 years from now...

Sandro Rosell: "Thiago has Barcelona DNA and we'd love to have him back some day..."

A year of tapping up follows...

1 year later, Thiago joins Barcelona for close to £40million.

The swamp is the perfect destination for him unfortunately. They have been crying out for a player of his abilities and he will be an automatic choice.
If I was in his shoes, the reality is,i wouldn't hesitate to make the move.

Its a huge shame we are missing out on such a talent to our fiercest rivals, however,we simply cant sign everyone.

I wont get overly concerned though given the fact they must have been having nightmares for the past few weeks over our done dealings and those yet to come!

Our squad will be stronger and our manager will be better!
