There's something a little unusual about Thiago.

Reminds me of Zidane. Always finds plenty of time on the ball, always finds an outlet, seems to spend most of his life wandering around the pitch at 1mph, always turns up at the key moments and carries a quiet authority that commands the pitch.

Could always loan him out to Tranmere I suppose, if we don't need him right now.

a few years back I went to a book signing for shaun goater and he was asked about the best player he had played with, he talked about bernabia and berkovic and said as a striker they made his job so simple because he knew if they got the ball all he had to do was run at goal and the ball would just land at his feet. Tihago is this but on the verge of a world class level, he is and would be on the same level of signing as all the stars we have now and robinho, not many bigger around and if it doesn't happen i will be more gutted than kaka and eto'o he will be the best player we have ever missed out on.

I appreciate that players do get to chose where they ply their trade, but we just cannot let this guy go to the Rags. Airport kidnap job if it ever gets that far.

They all play different positions, except maybe Nasri if he's going to become a central midfielder (which I'm sure he can do). The players we'd have fighting Thiago would be Fernandinho, Yaya, Rodwell, Barry and Garcia. No offence to Barry or Garcia but I'd let them go for free to get him in.

Yep he looks a quality player and I'd love him at city but don't think city are in for him, also with the fee off around 18m the rags will be interested in getting him in seeing there midfield is lacking in a ball player with skill..

Personally if we can get Isco he is more of the type of player we haven't got..
