He suffers injury problems?? So why is he looking to leave if when he is fit he gets games?
How do you know hes looking to leave? You just mentioned his lack of games yet he started 15 matches plus 12 of the bench even though he had a ligament injury and missed three months of the season.

So he's not even looking to leave - why is there a thread in the transfer forum?

fair point though where did it originate that he wanted to leave in the first place?

Because going of reports Unted have triggered his release clause.

Means nothing if he doesnt want to leave[/quote]
Well who knows what the player thinks we will see over the next few weeks. All ive said in this thread is that I highly rate the player, you mentioned his lack of games but that was mainly due to him breaking his ankle ligament.

Sorry, but how do you know that they haven't?

Just because the papers aren't printing it doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

For all we know, us, Bayern, Dortmund, Chelsea and everyone else has gone to him with proposals that he has rejected because he wants to go to the rags.

A downward career step.

because do you genuinely think uniteds press department wouldnt be telling all and sundry that a player had turned the current european champions, the cl finalists, the mighty mourinho and their cross town rivals to play for them?

They would plug away at it, that's for sure, but the reality is that Moyes is now in control, and he's an unknown manager in the situation he is in now. The other [speculated] clubs who could have snapped him up have happily passed him over, and if these clubs had really pursued Thiago, he could have flourished at any of them.

I get the impression that he won't be a good fit in the rags midfield unless it is rebuilt in it's entirety, and he'd probably end up spending as much time on the bench as he does now. Being young and inexperienced will go against him when there is so much competition in our league, whereas at Barca, there is only one serious competitor, and he would have been better placed staying there and being drip-fed into his team over the next season or two.

As soon as the twats are signing someone every looks upward to the heavens and says what a player, I mean would you go and play for moyse unless it was for the MONEY

I don't want to sign raggish but United are still United, for Thiago going from Barcelona to United is far away from being a step down.

If anything he could lead United into a new generation.

The lad is future star and is already one of the best in Europe at what he does, and to be honest I am a little devestated he canot be part of our midfield in a trio of Thiago-Yaya-Fernandinho.

Best in Europe at fucking what !!! Tackling NO Goalscoring NO Assists NO Workrate NO Box to box NO Exactly what is he so fucking good at and WHEN have any of you ever seen him do it other than against 19 20 & 21 year olds, as a 22 year old ?

He's neat & tidy, takes a mean free kick & has some clever touches. Yaya & Fernandinho will shit down his fucking neck if he's centre mid for rags v us.

I watch pretty much all the Barcelona games as they are on SKY and I have see Thiago play.

I firmly believe his ability to carry the ball up the pitch is very good, his passing is top notch, can play central midfield or behind the striker.

I do think to get the best out of him he needs to be in a midfield three with a destroyer in the midfield, if United do that he will be very good for them.

-- Mon Jul 08, 2013 6:36 pm --
