I wouldn't rule that out. I think Kaka was heavily influenced by Beckham who was telling him not to join City whilst he was on loan at Milan. May or not be true but it fits nicely with my loathing for Beckham the worlds most overrated player.

I can't see Milan selling him on the cheap because he wants to go to Barca. Plus they want Tevez, which could work in our favour.

Alves, Villa, Dmytro Chygrinsky who they bought 25m Euros. I don't think Thiago Silva is the type of player to drag his heels. I think he will go to the club offering most to Ac milan wasn't he discussing terms with PSG until AC pulled the plug.

Milan, of course, have a history of producing great stoppers, with Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi and Alessandro Costacurta just a few of the legendary names to have worn the famous Rossoneri shirt with distinction over the years.
Thiago Silva Thiago Silva was on the verge of moving to Paris Saint Germain for an eye-popping £37million
But while that celebrated trio played well into their retirement days at the San Siro, Thiago Silva – a man bang in his prime at 27 – was on the verge of being sold to nouveau riche Paris Saint Germain for an eye-popping £37million.
While that figure would have represented a world record fee for a defender, it was the very public and drawn out nature of the negotiations, culminating in the eventual U-turn from Milan, that became the most intriguing part of this surreal story.
The money on the table for Thiago Silva was an amount no club in their right mind should be able to refuse for a defender – especially a club with the debts of Milan

Anyone know much about this Dede guy?
He's supposedly being lined up by milan to replace silva and at 23 for 12 million he could maybe be worth a punt. That said I no nothing about him as a player but I'd rather us get the next silva and ease him in as opposed to spending 40 million on the finished article.

Bit early in the transfer window to be pulling that sort of stunt. The euphoria of keeping the player will wear off in a week, then there's 2 more months of screaming for new players that will never come. Not to mention the increased outcry when he's sold to Barca or us for even less than 37m :P
