Bide our time? Italian football is embroiled in another match-fixing scandal that might not affect Milan directly but could damage the league again and make it less desirable to players. It's a shame as Serie A has been rebuilding itself well but these new claims are so bad that the Italian PM has considered SUSPENDING Serie A for 2-3 years while they clean football up there(doubt that will happen though).
It was only his personal opinion, it is not nor was in consideration.

Its no more than an opinion BUT I can really now see a lot of World Class players leaving Serie A and heading overseas, particularly to the Prem so ... maybe this whole match fixing in Italy may make Thiago want to leave.

Chiellini could also want out as could Ibra

Well the Thiago Silva issue won't go away because Bobbymanc was back in Milan again yesterday according to some reports. Hopefully this is one deal that can be done.
Isn't Roberto allowed a family holiday in his home country after all the hard work he has put in?

"Le Parisien claim that Paris Saint Germain are about to seal a deal for AC Milan defender Thiago Silva."

From Sky Sports transfer centre......

What is the relationship between our owners and those at PSG?
You would have thought it would be in both clubs interests to have an understanding that they would not directly compete for the same players. Havent we got some agreement like this with Barca?

If we have, he would not have been one of our targets in any case as Barca want him but are not prepared to pay €40m for him.

Paris Saint Germain sporting director Leonardo says that they are set for talks with AC Milan over Thiago Silva.

Milan have long insisted that Silva, widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the world, is not for sale.

But French reports claim that a deal worth in excess of £40million could be completed this week, making it one of the biggest transfers in history.

"We're going to see Thiago, but it is not easy!" Leonardo is quoted by L'Equipe.

Should the deal happen, it would be a club record for PSG - who are also closing in on a £20million plus deal for Napoli's Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Milan have yet to make a comment

I was assuming Barca interest, (and his wish to go to Barca!), was the reason Mancini seemed to have played down our links with him

-- Mon Jun 11, 2012 12:49 pm --

Thiago Silva was apparently injured for the recent Brazil v Argentina match, perhaps he was being protected with a big transfer on the cards?

DDR anyone! and yes to T Silva

These two would be outstanding, I think the agents will be active. PB, whats your take on endorsements and sponsors shying away from Italy and also players playing there, will agents be advising players to move on the back of that?
