No problem, don't know may things first hand but do know that as knew Laurence Archer around that time and met Phil a few times through him.

Thankfully had the chance to see them many times before Phil’s passing. Gary Moore and Scott as a duo is my favourite combination. I still think Gary moores blues era was also immense.

Parisian Walkways was on Boom Radio a few days ago.
What a fantastic song that is, with Gary and Phil as a duo.

Boom Rock also plays a fair bit of Lizzy.

I might have to give Boom Rock a try , as we usually only play Boom Radio.
I don't fancy Boom Light ,as it only plays 1950s music, which isn't for me.
But any radio station that plays plenty of Lizzy will do for me.

Yeah, I struggle with Boom Light, but I listen to Boom Rock from 6:00pm on a Friday and from 2:00pm on a Saturday, if City aren’t playing, of course.

Loved Phil's small cameo in this song. It was a pretty big song in Ireland back in the day (early - mid 1980s) but they never cracked the British or American markets.

Fun fact number ; the singer is Gay Woods, who was previously in Steeleye Span.

Fun fact number 2; Midge Ure played guitar on the track.

Just booked to see them at Holmfirth in December. The legend that is John Otway is supporting them. Brilliant.

I will never forget getting to go into Abbey Road Studios with him in 2002 to record a b side.

I think I went to the same concert at the FTH probably mid late 1970’s.
Interestingly I went to the gig with a certain member of the Smiths..

Got to see Lizzy at the Gloucester leisure centre of all places, thunder and lightning tour, was delayed as I recall, and so was one of the last Thin Lizzy performances ever. Was absolutely brilliant- classics and new, you just felt Phil was too big for the stage.

Cold sweat was belting, first time I’d heard angel of death and I’m up for the sun goes down for my funeral. Topped it off with whiskey in the jar.

Was 1983? The fact that I have fond memories 42 years later, and still play the songs says it all
