Third party ticket sites and City - (Update 03/07/24)

Which bit of "official" do you not understand?

Whether you like it or not, a partner has entered into an arrangement with City, presumably involving some money being paid to us for the right to enter into that arrangement.

If someone with a season ticket sold that ticket 19 times, they'd get back whatever they paid for it. No more, no less. No one has ripped them off.

At the end of the day, the seat belongs to the club and it's their right to do whatever they want with it. People come from all parts of the globe to see us, thanks to our high profile and success, and that's part of the price of that success.

It's be much easier if people accepted that, rather than frothing at the mouth at things that they can't influence and that probably don't even impact them.

The clubs official guidance makes no reference to ticket exchange seats being transferred to third parties and only refers to their own internal processes in relation to buying from the exchange.

Does it matter? It's their seat not the ticket holder, and they can do what they want, plus whatever you think about the process, it's open and official.

Personally I'm more aggravated about how tickets end up in unauthorised hands sites.

I think you’re directing all that at the wrong person.

Making match day members pay premium prices through third party sites rather than selling tickets through the official site at normal prices.
That’s fair enough. City shouldn’t be charging excessive prices.

The other issue I don’t get. Namely people complaining on here (occasionally) that they only get the money back they paid for their ticket.

Getting the money back for the ticket is not the issue. Flogging it on to an agency who then charge someone £200 for the same ticket is. They should go back on to the ticket exchange so proper blues have a chance of getting them and not some overseas tourist who’s never been to a game of football in their life before.

The good news is general admission tickets are already being offered as part of mega expensive hospitality packages.

“City, busy fleecing their fans, again.”

What defines a "proper blue" ?
