This Stoke defeat?

Incidentally, it is a worse start than season 2012/13 where we were unbeaten in the league till the 2-3 revere at home to United in December. Indeed we were top of the league on 19/11

and only went 2nd the following week after drawing 0-0 away at Chelsea.

Admittedly we had had a1-1 home draw with Arse and a couple of away draws that should have been wins (oh and our CL form was bobbins) but we didn't start to seriously slip in the league till the Everton home draw and the loss at home to the rags.

Incidentally. 3 games in who gives a shit? Life must be a barrel of laughs round your place.

It can't be a bundle of laughs at yours with an attitude like that. I agree that 3 games is hardly a sensible test, but really, is the abuse necessary?

My attitude is we've played three games of football, won two including one against the team who finished runners up to us last season, and we've lost a game which we really shouldn't have lost but one which can comfortably be chalked up to "one of those days".

I'll repeat it again, I'm all for discussion. It's what makes forums interesting. Same with opposing views, i've got no problem with people who disagree with my own point of view intensely. It happens all the time.

However your previous post, and BA's just strikes me as talking for the sake of it. I mean, how many times have you effectively posted the same thing in this thread?

Also I didn't abuse BA. My opinion is "who gives a shit" how many points we had after three games in 2012. By any rational standards there is NOTHING i can take from that. Nothing of interest. Nothing that illuminates my thoughts on this season. It was a different season, with a different team, and a different manager.

you would indeed think City have the quality to pull away from this Stoke result but the comparisons with Mancinis 2012-13 season that shocked so many ,will become more apparent, its very interesting

Mister Appointment (good moniker by the way) , I really am a barrel (far too wide) but a barrel of laughs all the same. Many would say I'd laugh if my arse was on fire.

I just like to stir the pot on occasion, and in this case the slow-motion performance against Stoke deserves to be recognised as a very bad performance. It may indeed be "one of those days", we shall see, but IMHO, far too many players were simply crap against Stoke for this to be the case. More likely the late return for players from the W/C are to blame. I hope so because if we are merely improve our performance against Arsenal, Bayern & Chelsea we will come away with nothing from these games. A MAJOR improvement is required.

:)

As I said a few pages back (you have to occasionally fight repetition with repetition) I'm convinced some people are cutting and pasting posts from twelve months ago!

Read this during the days after the deadline. I had to check we hadn't sold Silva, Yaya, Dzeko, Aguero et al as I couldn't understand the gloom and doom. I also was glad as fuck when it was suggested we said no to Falcao and the deal he came with. Give me our three strikers and players who can fit in various roles behind them over any other strike force in the division. Falcao showed what motivates him when he moved to Monaco. Not interested in that kind of player anymore. We are worth more than that. I read a curious comment, 'I hope we sign him just to see the reaction of other clubs fans'. Eh?! What and where is the logic in that now? Signing a player to immediately log onto another clubs forum to see what they think? That's bizarre as fuck.

The club have acted with a high degree of class. The player wanted to leave and did the decent thing to ask, and we granted the sale. No point in having an unhappy player, and before anyone says 'yaya', well he acted with little class and was forced to come back with his tail between his legs - another degree of class by our hierarchy.

I believe should we need to, a striker will be signed in the winter, and if not, next summer we will buy big. This has been one of the best windows we have had. Serious signings, no silly signings just because we can. It will retain the league, too.

Er, try once.
