This transfer window/Marwood

I don't think the team needs a first team winger as such, and we have a few that could play that position at a pinch if needed.

But either way, our need to buy Sinclair hasn't increased. He's only the only available winger in the world.

Doing his job, eh? And here's me thinking that was supposed to be securing Bob's transfer targets before 11pm this Friday?

So you think we are paying Mr Marwood thousands of pounds per year for him to just work during the transfer window?? I am almost certain, but then I could be wrong, that his job description will state a heck of a lot more than one page and one item!!!!

So you don't see a prioritising work load issue at work here? That's ridiculous.

But Mancini does think having a winger on the bench is important seeing as he used a winger from the bench so many times last season. I assume you agree with that? And whilst I realise that there are other wingers in the world, us overtly having a greater need for a winger can not be seen as a good thing when trying to negotiate with another club for a winger. I assume you agree with that? We want to sign Sinclair, a winger from another club...

I don't think we have a greater need for a winger, and if we get a winger in I don't think we will pay any more than we would of if we had kept AJ for another week.

It would have also made us fairly desperate to get rid of AJ in the next few days as I'm sure RM doesn't want Sinclair and AJ in the squad. I presume you agree that this could have the effect of driving the price we get for AJ down?

Not in that format, Moomba, and not with so little time remaining. Unless the execs have a gaggle of overpaid legal people in tow, then I don't accept this as a possibility.

Personally I don't blame Brian Marwood as it is down to if the deal is right. Most of us on here know absolutely nothing about our internal workings of our club and are based on opinions and not solid facts.

That's fair enough but the people who say Marwood is doing a great job in this window are equally just voicing an opinion and not basing it on any internal knowledge of the workings of the club either.

I have always had my doubts about Marwood, this transfer window has just confirmed them.

I don't know that there are that many who are saying he is doing a great job (Khaldoon excepted). Most on here are just responded to the over the top, and often ridiculous criticism of anything Marwood does from people that don't know what conditions he is working under, and what his job actually is.

He must be damned good at multi-tasking then. So forget giving last minute transfer negotiations his undivided attention? This isn't necessary, even with two days only remaining?

It hasn't, because you have absolutely no idea how he has performed this window, or any other. I would image the same goes for every poster on Bluemoon.

I don't think Mancini would have been too bothered by having a left footed tricky winger in his squad and a right footed pacey winger in his squad. I do think he will be seriously fucked off if he has the option of neither. The world knows we sold our only winger, the manager wants a winger and you won't accept that that doesn't help our negotiating position with other clubs for a winger. To be honest you're kind of trying to argue black is white here and I can't be arsed with it because we are going round in circles. You win, I guess.

i havent really followed that closely this summer.. but what exactly have marwood done horribly wrong?

maybe DDR is happy in Rome and doesnt want to come here. And Hazard just wanted to play for the CL winners

The Rodwell signing was great. And I'm glad he isnt letting us be Swansea's woman in a Sinclair transfer
