Well, I suppose Platini aint done a good job with his FFP malarky.
And Hughes didnt go a great job buying expensive flops as well as some good signings.
And ditto Mancini.

As for Marwood (so what if he used to play for Arsenal?!), maybe he is doing a good job within the constraints that he is working under. It looks like being Rodwell and Nastasic in so far, with Savic gone, along with a few others. Overall a net improvement to an already tasty squad, with 2 days to go.

I take your point but the unexpected Chavski spend fest bothers me and I still wish we had beaten them to Mr Hazard.

Yeah, I dont know how much they got for winning the champs lge but they must have spent well more than that already

Chelsea have earned in excess of £100m for winning the Champs league and if you also take into the account the people off the wage bill (Drogba, Anelka etc). They probably still have money left to spend.

There income is fine for FFP. They already have good revenue coming in compared to spend.

Remember that transfer fees are amortized over the length of the players contract do Chelsea can buy £200m worth of players all on 5 year contracts and it will only cost them £40m plus wages as far as FFP goes.

And they've got plenty of room to manoeuvre on wages since Drofba, Anelka etc left.

£40m a year is huge on a balance sheet though.

Yes it is, but the increase in revenue over the next couple of years from the CL will help in that regard.

Isn't it on the p&l as an expense???

Seriously, PSG, are in far worse a shape than anyone else, if they pass, then it will be because the FFP is unworkable. It will be hilarious watching a french club's legal team ripping the FFP rules apart, page by stinking, rotten, cancerous page.
