This website is a joke

For those criticising us assessing Hughes after every match, when else are supposed to do it? It is the time we see the fruits of our mercurial manager.

PS any one for Hoddle?

And if the ref hadn't have made a mistake, or Benji had scored, you'd have been heralding a good result, and continued improvements in City's form

Over the season we have seen steady improvement. And there's no reason to think that the club will not continue to move forward. At this moment we don't know if Hughes is maximising what he has got.

There are so many examples of managers who have taken time to build teams. One of them won a trophy today, and they started off with 2-3 mid-table finishes despite spending fortunes. Likewise Martin O'Neil, and Moyes at Everton.

You really are scraping the barrel with your arguments now, aren't you!

"If"..."maybe's"..."what ifs"... every relegated manager in the country could spout that nonsense. What about the positives? Spent £130m... handed a squad of international quality players... given a free hand tio improve the facilities at the training ground... and still no tangible improvements.

And if you're going to make stuff up, then expect a response... Ferguson started off with 2-3 mid-table finishes did he?

Runners Up in his first full season. Stop making stuff up to suit your arguments.

And if you think the best we can do is target the achievements of O'Neil and Moyes then you truly have as little ambition as I fear you have.

City deserved a point.

Where did Villa finish under their first season under O'Neil?

Hughes earning £3m a year is a joke mate! Oh well.....not for much longer eh!

It's not the web-site, it's the combination of spineless fans, and Rags who come out to gloat every time City get beat.

Doesn't matter if you have £100 Million or £1 Million, you need time to build a team. The more changes you have, the longer the transition.

Are we going to continue with this farcical match by match assessment of the City manager?

But judging managers on a match by match basis and changing them every season is what has made this club such a dominant force in the premier league and won us so many trophies over the last thirty odd years - oh wait...

Except that we don't change our manager every season. Furthermore the new owners have yet to appoint a manager and given they have stumped up £100m plus it is not unreasonable for them to assess the situation in the summer and the various managerial options open to them and choose who they think is best able to move the team and the club forward.

What about your made up stuff?

Do you retract? Or are you still refusing to deal with realities?

To be honest mate I couldn't give a flying fuck where Villa finished in their first season under O'Neil.

I fully expect us to be challenging at the very top, something I very much doubt that Villa will be doing in my lifetime.

Stop comparing Hughes to ...anyone! Just look at him on his own record.

Two away wins all season. That is shameful. And like Sven deserved the chop for the 8-1 debacle at Boro, then Hughes deserves the same fate for his record.

They finished 11th, after finishing 16th the season before. Quite an achievement.

Judging managers on a match by match basis on the internet has had absolutely no impact on our success (or lack of) over the years.

Could this possibly have had a little bit of an impact on our success maybe?
