This Weekends Other Premiership Games.

Has it occurred to anyone that he might not have wanted to sign for City no matter what we offered him?

I'm sure there are, but at least your marking someone and putting pressure on a player, RVP had a free header
Did you ignore the fact we conceded the least amount from set plays last season?

I'm no stato, but I'd bet those goals we I'd concede were down to poor marking because we go zonal, I'm not a fan, rather go man to man, if we had done that against Liverpool I don't think skertel would have scored. And if RVP had been marked rather than given a zonal space he may not have got a clean header.
Clearly no manager or coach either. Your comment here is idiotic.

RVP is their only goalscorer..last year he was Arsenals only goalscorer..

Did Arsenal win the league ??

stop flapping you lot.

I think some of the overreactions are ridiculous but that's just not true though is it? For a start Rooney was 2nd top goalscorer behind Van Persie last season.

It's clear they are trying to blast teams away with firepower and they'll probably succeed against most who are shit scared and roll over like Southamptom did in the last 15 today. What will be interesting is what they do against the better teams. Personally I think they'll sit back and try to counter with Valencia, Rooney and Van Persie the way they did with Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez. Whether it'll work nobody really knows. Anybody who looks and says "their midfield is weak they can't compete" is being very naive although they're right in saying their midfield is weak don't think for one minute Taggart hasn't got a strategy in mind that will at worst see them there or there abouts in every competition.

Call me a rag if you like, just think it'll be another tight one.

Ask your self would Rooney score them goals that RVP did today? I very much doubt it

John Rooney?

When Van Persie scores a hattrick against Barca, Madrid or us I will call him better than what we have. Not against tired legs that were playing in the Championship and a clueless manager who cannot defend set plays. Tevez can score against ANY team as can Aguero as can Yaya can Van Persie?
Some people seem to think I am making a knee jerk comment based on RVP getting a hat trick against Southampton. I have called RVP the best player in the league for a while. I have seen him for the last 3 years and he has just been incredible. He literally saved Arsenal so many times. He has done it against the top teams in the biggest games. Anyway we will see over the course of the year. No point going around circles. For me he is the best in the league, for some people here he is not even the best striker in the league and others still not even the best striker at his club.

you can argue he is the best striker in the league no problem and at the moment i would agree but you cant argue he is the best player in the league that doesnt make sense
I don't understand this comment at all. If he is the best striker in the league then who else are you going to say is better overall as a player? The only two candidates are Toure and Silva. So at worst you are saying he might be 3rd, but for me he is the best.

We didn't even make a real attempt in signing RvP. If Tevez decided he wanted to go and did not make the effort in getting fit and sharp then we would of made a real move.

The thing with united is they are gonna play shit every week but win these games with some luck and be up there to win the title , i have seen it happen all my life , i'm sure it will happen again

So don't delude yourself with any hope that they will not be there again

But i sincerely hope city do it again this year :)

I suspect this is the real truth of the matter. RVP obviously has some feeling for Arsenal and their fans would much rather he went to you, than United a team they hate. Chances of winning a trophy higher at City and if Tevez had gone then would be in the first team plans. As soon as Tevez decided to stay never thought it was going to happen.

The fact is he scored 30 odd goals last year so the original post saying Van Persie is the only goalscorer they have is complete bollocks. That's all I'm saying.

Supposing that everyone is at the peak of their powers, David Silva is the best player in the league. No doubt about that at all.

If united do well they do well, get over it, as long as teams put up a fight and it won't be so horrible like last year. I'm past caring, just concentrate on city u sillys
