Excellent first interview considering a lot of shite that was asked. The media seem more obsessed with constructing a circus than football. "Will you sing the National Anthem?" who the fuck cares! We've had Aussies involved in both rugby and cricket, got a New Zealander in charge at the moment. It's about how the team performs on the pitch.

And fancy asking the FA who they interviewed and what that process was whilst the guy who got the job is sat there! "Erm we interviewed Pep, he didn't want it. Then we spoke to Klopp and he didn't want it. Then we spoke to Howe and he wasn't available. Then we spoke to Potter and he didn't impress us. So we went for Thomas as he was available."

The response to that would be will YOU sing the national anthem and i dont mean just the first verse that everybody belts out, no the whole fucking lot, come on mr proud to be english daily mail twat the whole lot all three verses right now.
 
Probably one of the better available coaches but he's not without flaws either.

His last season he should have wrapped up the game against Real Madrid, and by making odd subs with a few minutes to go which cost them winning the whole thing. Not being able to stop cliqes and bickering at Munich last term with poor domestic form. Inconsistency at Chelsea.

When things go his way his teams are excellent. When things don't he becomes a big sulker and finger pointer.

This is England anyway, we never win stuff. If he can go a notch further than Southgate then he will have done well

Why don't you ask Ben Stokes how he'd feel if he was playing for England in a WC final against NZ? I reckon he'd be so conflicted, what with being born and spending his formative years in NZ and having a Dad who was a kiwi. He'd probably struggle to perform for England in that situation and NZ would probably win quite comfortably I'd imagine. Oh wait...
 
He’s not even started yet and he’s getting fucked royally already god help him when he names his first squad, the guys on a hiding to nothing, at least he has won trophies but I’m not holding my breathe for success.
