The thing is you can look through every single season and see United get decisions to against them. Off the top of my head, right now, I've just thought of the penalty given in the 90th minute at the CoMS when vdSaar saved Darius' penalty and that pretty much sewed up the title for them, had he scored they had even more difficult games ahead and could have lost the title. Why would a bent ref working for a bent governing body give a penalty against United in injury time when they can pretty much win the title that day?fatbloke said:The difference being when United aren't good enough they quite often get a helping hand by the officials, when City aren't good enough we get it compounded by the officials.
***awaiting the naive to point out the Newcastle penalty and Chelsea title win of 4 years ago as concrete proof, lol.***
I'm sure if I went through fixtures over the years I could pull up something from every season (some seasons with multiple occurrences), that changed the title race. But as a big establised club, they have more possession and with the mindset of the human race, they do get more decisions. But it isn't a conspiracy or agenda; it's more subconscious thinking.
The difference has been, in twelve of the last twenty seasons, United have taken their chances and have won titles.
